About this property

Tiny House East Austin

Located 15 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes from downtown Austin, this casita is super convenient. Minimalist and eco-friendly, enjoy the lion’s den 🦁 (named after my dog & gaudy mailbox statue) for a getaway within city limits.

This repurposed shed- made tiny house, was built with mostly reused and otherwise green materials. Please enjoy simplicity here!❤️

We offer a tiny stove, air-fryer, pots, utensils & plates, CAMPER toilet, WiFi, an AC & a memory foam mattress in the bunk.
The space
The tiny house is next to the big house. The big house is not for your use, you can check my other listing for that 😄

Please enjoy the backyard which is a work in progress! Hopefully the mini food Forrest will recover soon from the storm damage.

You are welcome to use the outside table and grill anything vegetarian in the grill too or hang out in the hammock!

I also list my 2020 Tesla model 3 on Turo incase you need a car rental let me know!

PLEASE READ ALL CHECK IN INSTRUCTIONS AND LOOK AT PHOTOS AND THE DESCRIPTIONS. THIS IS A TINY HOUSE- THERE IS NO RUNNING WATER INSIDE. I WILL NOT OFFER A REFUND AFTER YOU CHECKIN- everything is listed accurately with clear captioned photos. Please enjoy your stay!

Guest access
The tiny house has a door code which will be provided.
Other things to note
I keep the space vegetarian for religious reasons. So please don’t cook, use the plates for meat or fish inside-the space there is a picnic table outside.

Host was a jerk, and getting up to the top to sleep was dangerous

It was alarming right off the bat with the fact that the listing of the place I booked months ago was suddenly off-line, no where to be found. When I requested info to help plan my trip (everything around was booked as my trip was right around the corner), the host was trying to persuade me to just cancel. Obviously not going to happen- also, all I asked for was what the kitchen layout was. It was finally re-confirmed by the host and I requested to be able to drop off my luggage early so I could jump into business and meetings. She said that it was good to go and I could check in whenever I wanted. I got to the place, and there was a lockbox, I went to my emails first, to see if there was check-in info, of which there was absolutely NOTHING... so I went to text the host- who gave me her personal number, I didn't even ask for it, but that's how SHE wanted to communicate. She kept avoiding the request of giving me the code I needed to get into the place and then sent me a text after only two of my messages saying 'STOP TEXTING ME! this is my personal number and I'm in a meeting!!!! Respect my boundaries!' whole interaction was disrepectful but not from me. All she had to do was send a lil 4 digit code... not two novels and then a snappy text. So I just avoided her and her negative self for my entire trip. Now for the UNSAFE part- the way up to the bed on top is absolutely not secure, it's going up a wobbly ladder, and the bed moves so the distance one has to cross to get up-top is scary. I nearly fell twice and I have great balance. I recommend VRBO check on this, and I'll be sending ABNB the same message, as apparently she only uses ABNB now for her bookings. DON'T STAY HERE!!! The lady is toxic and rude and the space can be nice, but her set-up is NOT SAFE!!!! My thought is that if she doesn't do something about making that ascend safer, someone is going to get really hurt and she'll be sued :( not good.
