sweet spot

Intimate spot for a couple to enjoy each other while having the slopes at your doorstep and the village a short shuttle away. Will definitely book this again

wonderful stay

Great location! cozy home with just what you need. well stocked kitchen met our needs. bed wasn’t the most comfy but not terrible. big area out back to romp around with the pup, easy walk (end of the parking lot) to the top of powder ridge lift

Had everything we needed

Our family of 4 and our dog enjoyed staying at this condo. Although it was older and could benefit from some updates, it had everything we needed and we were comfortable. The view is beautiful and the proximity of the condo to the ski resort is great; there are restaurants and skiing in walking/skiing distance and at the same time it is at a distance so noise from the resort/restaurants/bars are avoided. We would come here again.

Nice and Simple Getaway

We enjoyed our time at Snowshoe. This was an end unit on a bottom floor. We loved being able to walk 50 yards to the slopes. It was easy in and easy out. We cooked all our meals at the condo. We had everything we needed to cook and relax after a full day of skiing.

It was clean, convenient, and pretty comfortable. Needs a new stove (burners worked off and on). Definitely bare bones…nothing extra, like a box of tissue.

We visited outside of ski season. Maybe this is why the condo smelled stale when we first entered and why the furniture had a layer of dust on it. The condo is starting to show it’s age but was still comfortable. What a great location!

Ski Birthday Trip

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Perfect little condo for my husband & I. Walked right onto the ski slopes from the condo, we were on the bottom level so no steps to get to & from the slopes. Loved the area right inside the door to remove & leave all our wet ski gear to dry. The "real" fireplace was wonderful, my husband made us a fire every was great to have the woodshed only a couple of steps away. Parking was not a problem at all, we were always able to park right in front of our condo.

Reviewer Comments: place is nice and beds are decently comfy. love the heated mud room for wet snow clothes and boots. well stocked with kitchen supplies. wasn't too sure it was cleaned for our stay - towels were hanging over the shower, bed sheets weren't neat. but they came in the morning to freshen up and brought new linens. ski in/ski out wasn't an option since the slope wasn't open yet but would be so great in prime season. wifi was fast and great.

Bare minimum

The place is much smaller than it appears in the pictures. Nothing has been updated. Mattress is very uncomfortable. Very little kitchenware, and what is there is old and cheap. The knives have old wooden handles that kept giving me splinters. Truthfully, the only good thing about this place is its location and clearly that is the only thing that the owners are betting. They know the place will be rented out because it's a ski in/ski out so they have put very little effort into actually have a nice rental. Not worth the price, there is much better for the same or cheaper.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location is good but after 3 years in a row in the same condo, it is clearly needing some work; it is pretty run down. Everything from the rugs to the blinds needs to replaced. The sliding shower curtain is broken and was not very clean on the inside. The bed has seen better days, there is a pegboard in the bedroom to hang clothes but only has one peg left in it and the hall light was burned out. The kitchen has a hodgepodge of misc utensils and pots/pans. Likewise there is only one fireplace tool left in the condo.

MLK weekend getaway

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Where should I begin? Maybe I won't go into the list of items that require attention since the list is LONG. My first time here and it will be the last. An effective vacuum cleaner is a must. The carpet was filthy, loaded with lint, dirt, hair and fur. I could not stand it so I started to vacuum .... big mistake. When the vacuum was on, it had a terribly stinking smell that is unbearable. It did not pick up anything either and that explained the filthy carpet. I picked the pet friendly unit because I have a hypoallergenic dog that does not shed so I am not used to the amount of dog hair that was there ... everywhere. But when your vacuum does not work ... go figure. Even a pot inside the kitchen cabinet was full of dog hair. No exaggeration here!! Never have I stayed in any home like this and we have stayed in many over the years all over the world.

Snow Shoe lodging

Very easy to book. Staff over rental property so helpful and kind. Room very clean and tidy.Now for the BUT…Needs a serious upgrade.The mattresses are beyond old. Pull out couch you seriously feel every single spring. After 4 days my back hates me.The master bedroom mattress is sagging and actually the springs make noises.After the slopes all day a nice mattress makes a huge difference.I did tell the staff about the dishwasher. It looks new but after three washes we gave up. It will not wash dishes and leaves the soap inside.Over all I enjoyed our stay. I won’t stay here again unless I know the mattresses have been replaced.Decor and carpet clean but very dated.
