The Atlanta Ice Cream Festival (July 27) and Grilled Cheese Festival (October 7)! Two blockbuster bands, Chicago and Earth, Wind and Fire will be performing together in the "Heart & Soul" concert in Atlanta this summer and the annual Atlanta Food & Wine Festival returns September 13-15 bringing together some of Atlanta's best chefs for a culinary treat not to be missed! Atlanta's State Farm arena will be kicking all year with blockbuster concerts featuring artists such as Madonna, Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Chaka Khan with Frankie Beverly & Maze and El Debarge, Keyshia Cole, Nicki Minaj, Usher, PiNK and Justin Timberlake! Atlanta is also home to several major movie studios with many popular films and shows that had scenes filmed here including Marvel Infinity Wars/Black Panther/Ant-Man Wasp), The Walking Dead, Hunger Games, Flight, Anchorman 2, Vampire Diaries (filmed in nearby Covington) and the Disney series, Will Trent Season 2, is filming in Atlanta now! The ATL Dessert Festival at Grant Park (May 25), the Atlanta Ice Cream Festival (July 27), and Grilled Cheese Festival (October 7) at Piedmont Park! And one of the newest super family fun places, Activate, is now open in Atlanta! Activate is billed as “one of the world’s first active gaming facilities” where you jump, climb, problem-solve and have loads of fun working together as a team to solve challenges using interactive gaming technology! We are a 5 star property with over 85 guests from around the world who have stayed with us (through VRBO and other platforms), so I wanted to respond to and correct a few items in this review. Our kitchen is well stocked with an array of baking dishes (including non-stick pizza pans, several glass casserole dishes (of various sizes), other metal baking pans as well as 2 rolls of aluminum foil) so I'm confused why the guests were not able to find a pan that didn't allow the food being warmed to stick. We also have at least 7 different types of knives (from glass handle turkey carving knives, to silver steak knives to butter knives, and even a cheese carving knife!) so I'm again confused why a sharp enough knife could not be found. Lastly, we go above and beyond to provide safety features such as outdoor security cameras, monitored access locks, fully fenced backyard and we are in an established community where we have never had safety concerns. The park, which is across the street, hosts 2 children's playgrounds and is also well monitored by our community and authorities (even during the holidays). With all the amenities we have to offer (from the waterfall faucets to the touch usb lamps, motion activated lights in the kitchen and other places, color changing electric fireplace, Roku TVs in every bedroom with all the major apps installed and our newest smart home feature, the GOOGLE ASSISTANT, where with voice commands you can check the weather, play music or find local restaurants) we are again confused by the "dated" comment. We can only wish this guest well on their journey.

Last year at Miracle on Peachtree, they had everything from ballet to hot cocoa, Christmas tree decorating, local shopping and even a holiday tea! And then there's "Garden Lights, Holiday Nights" at the Atlanta Botanical Garden which features more than one million colorful lights among the most beautiful floral displays. And Stone Mountain Park is a treasure. At Christmas the park glows with more than two million lights, holiday characters, carolers, fireworks, and has the world’s largest Christmas light show! They even have a Christmas parade, 4d theatre showing holiday movies, and fly in visits from Santa! And, if you didn’t get a chance to visit the Georgia Aquarium, walk the nature trails or enjoy the spectacular laser show at Stone Mountain Park, take a ride on the Skyview Ferris Wheel or take a dreamy Cinderella carriage ride around Centennial Olympic Park, you will surely want to add these to your agenda for your next visit! Jennifer and her family were a joy to host. She was very pleasant and easy to work with and communicated great with us all throughout their stay. They were very considerate in letting us know exactly when they were expected to check in and when they checked out. They followed all house rules and left everything neat.
