Beautiful property, excellent location for all we wanted to do over the long weekend.Home is really lovely inside, perfect cabin vibe with all the upgrades. Jeff and Karen have taken great care with this property to ensure a comfortable stay. Steps from everything you need in Silver Gate-coffee shop, restaurant, beer garden; and a quick trip into the Park for hiking or animal viewing. We were able to meet Jeff during check-in and enjoyed talking with him--All the locals are extremely friendly and welcoming. Definitely will book again and we are already looking forward to it!

It felt great to come back to the warm cabin after a whole day in Yellowstone. It is about 1 mile from the northeast entrance, easy to find and check in, and has all the amenities one could hope for in this area. This is a superb choice for quick access to the Lamar valley.

We loved our stay at Lamar Cabins. The house was very spacious for our family of 7 and was well stocked with everything that we needed to cook. The location to Yellowstone was perfect. It was neat getting to drive through Lamar Valley every day as you enter the park and see all the buffalo. And the little town of Silvergate was very cute and fun to explore. The check-in process was very easy and the hosts were great to deal with. I will definitely be recommending this cabin to any friends who plan to go to Yellowstone and I would definitely stay here again.

Love the cabin. Well equipped. Excellent communication with host. Laundry room functioned great. Love the cast iron skillet. It made wonderful grilled cheese sandwiches. Two red fox came to see us off. Thank you for letting us share your home. Animal watching was great!

Angie, it truly means so much to us that you continue to return to Lamar Valley Cabins year after year. Guests like you become part of the story of this place, and we love knowing the cabins feel like a little home base for your Yellowstone adventures. The wildlife experiences you mentioned are exactly what makes staying near Yellowstone’s Lamar Valley so special. Seeing wolves, bears, bison, and other wildlife in their natural habitat never gets old for us either, and we’re always thrilled when our guests get to experience those unforgettable moments. We’re also glad the cabin continues to be a cozy and comfortable place to return to after long days exploring Yellowstone National Park, hiking the trails, or wildlife watching in Lamar Valley and the surrounding Cooke City area. Thank you again for your kindness and loyalty over the years, Angie. We’re already looking forward to welcoming you back to Lamar Valley Cabins for your next Yellowstone adventure. — Karen & Jeff

Lovely Cabin in Breathtaking Winter Setting

This was a wonderful place to relax in a between snowshoe and wildlife-watching excursions in Yellowstone. The cabin is lovely and very comfortable. We brought in groceries and did a fair amount of cooking. Really appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and the basic spices and supplies like flour and sugar. Thanks to our hosts for a great stay!

Very beautiful cabin in the perfect location.

The cabin was beautiful inside and out and you just cannot beat the location. It’s like a mile from the entrance to Yellowstone and by staying at this location you get to drive in and out via the Lamar Valley which is the best part of the park for wildlife viewing. We saw almost every animal in the park along our drives. You can pick up some groceries in Cooke City and there are some food options nearby including the wonderful BBQ truck within steps from the cabin. We would highly recommend staying here while exploring Yellowstone.

Cozy Cabin for Yellowstone trip

This was a very cozy, relaxing cabin very close to the north east entrance of Yellowstone National park. We saw bison and mule dear right from the kitchen window on multiple days. The host was easy to communicate with and the cabin was very clean. I would definitely stay here again. It was great driving through Lamar Valley every day to get in and out of the rest of the park we saw a lot of wildlife this way.

Exceeded all expectations

We had a girls getaway in the cabin for 3 nights in late June and were thrilled with the beautiful cabin! It is less than a mile from Yellowstone, and there are amazing mountain views from most of the rooms. We loved the general store and cafe down the street, and were even graced by a bison in the back yard for most of our stay! The accomodations are perfect and exceeded all of our expectations - everything is luxurious and new, but also comfortable. We felt right at home. We can't wait to visit again!

A Dream

This cabin was awesome. We arrived at night, didn't have trouble finding the cabin thanks to the directions from the owner, and..... they left the lights on for us :). It was clean, private, close to the northeast entrance, with amazing mountain views. Woke up to a Bison outside our backyard one morning, just amazing. Book this place you won't regret it.

winter getaway

The owner was great to work with. Very quick to respond and helpful. The property was great. We went to Cooke City snowmobiling with another couple and stayed here in Silver Gate. The cabin was beautiful. The area is gorgeous and very peaceful. We saw moose several times on our ride from Silver Gate to Cooke City. Only thing that would have made the stay better is a hot tub
