Welcome to Maple Haven on Maple Lake in Mentor, Minnesota. This year round home offers modern amenities on one of the best lakes in Northwest Minnesota. Originally built in 2001, this home has everything you need to unpack and have FUN. You'll find everything you need upon arrival- fully equipped kitchen, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two living areas, upper decks with propane fire pit, Weber grill, two docks, & beach area... all steps away from the fun on the water.

Maple Lake is located in northwest Minnesota, 2 miles south of Mentor in Polk County. It is located close to larger populations and is very convenient for residents and visitors to travel 1 hour or less to enjoy the lake for the day or weekend.

Maple Lake is approximately 1641 sq. acres and around 14 feet deep, and the nearly 20 miles of shoreline are populated with about 630 homes, public beaches and resorts. The lake is popular for recreational watersports and fishing with commonly caught fish such as, Walleye, Northern Pike, Largemouth Bass, Crappie, Sunfish, Perch and Bullheads, among others.

This lake home was perfect for our family! The inside was clean and very modern. Our boat was on the dock right off the house, so we could conveniently go for rides on the lake. The host was very communicative and helpful. We definitely recommend staying here!

Stayed 11 nights and it was hard to leave because it is a beautiful, spacious home. It seemed to us that the place sleeps 9 or 10, not 12 as advertised, but that worked for us as there was room for our blow up mattress. The property has a nice front yard for outdoor games and very nice sand beach in the backyard.

We rented this place on our way to visit family in Wisconsin. The place is very nice and close to the water. We had a nice breeze coming in the windows. The place is very roomy and comfortable and has a nice kitchen and grill. We rented a pontoon boat and there are 2 docks that can be used to tie up to. The shoreline is sandy. I would definitely recommend this lake house.

We enjoyed our 5 day stay at Maple Haven. It was a beautiful house. We brought our boat and enjoyed fishing, tubing, skiing and just tooling around the lake. It was during the week so the lane was quiet and it was so peaceful! Definitely a great place to stay! Just make sure to bring bottled water if you don’t like the mineral taste of well water. It was an easy fix for us though with the store just a couple miles away! Wonderful vacation for our extended family of 8. Thank you for sharing your lake home with us!!

Maple Haven is, simply put, perfect! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our nine day stay here, and absolutely intend on returning to do it again in the figure. The Mentor and Maple Lake area has so much to do, no matter the weather, and the home itself is peaceful, clean, and has breathtaking views of the water. My personal favorite aspect of the home are the balcony and patio spaces. They create such a relaxing ambiance for reading, chatting, and simply enjoying time on the water’s shore. Kayla and Derek were fantastic hosts, and have not missed a single detail in preparing for guests to feel right at home!

This property far exceeded my expectations. Very cute, charming place. The space allows for people to be alone if wanted. The decks off the master are amazing. Reading a book and having a glass of wine on the small deck off the master was amazing. Our grandson loved the Sandy beach with all the toys his little heart desired. Everything about Maple Haven is by far the best I have had in a VRBO! Checking in and out was very simple. For sure will be booking again! The host was very accommodating and quick to respond with any questions I had. We made amazing memories!

4th of July Weekend

This well kept property is tucked in nicely along the shores of the locally infamous Maple Lake. Stocked with thoughtful and quality amenities we had everything needed.The lake shore water is weedy and not enjoyable to swim. I understand that regulations do not allow removal of weeds but I wish I would have known to expect a non-swimmable area. The fireworks on and around the lake were amazing and fun to watch all weekend. The owner's communication was prompt and professional. The description states it sleeps 6-12. There are three beds and although there are sofas and floor space, this property is set up to sleep 6.

Why they chose this property

Maple Lake, located in Mentor, Minnesota is the perfect escape from the daily grind. Located an hour east of Grand Forks, ND, an hour and half north of Fargo, ND, and an hour west of Bemidji, MN Maple Haven is the perfect location. The lake itself is 1,641 acres and approximately 14 feet deep at it's deepest point.

When fishing, one can expect to catch a variety of fish including Black Bullhead, Bluegill, Brown Bullhead, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Walleye, Yellow Bullhead, Yellow Perch & Pumpkinseed. Some of the best fishing you'll find right off the dock of Maple Haven or right out on the ice in the winter.

What makes this property unique

This home offers two docks & a beach area just steps out the front door. Maple Lake offers pontoon rentals through Oak Cove Marina.
