4 seasons of adventures on Indian Lake/Sunset View Resort/Unit#4

Located on the southern shore of beautiful Indian Lake, Unit #4 is only steps away from the shared beachfront of Sunset View resort. Originally founded in the late 30's with traditional log cabins for summertime get-a-ways.

Our property amenities include a common beach area, dock (day only), fire pits and grill area. Easily accommodates groups of 6 with its open space kitchen/dining/living area, three bedrooms and full bathroom. You will appreciate the lake views and sunsets even inside from the large windows. Swim, boat, hike, canoe, kayak or just relax by the campfire taking in a sunset or starry night sky. Fish from your boat or shanty for northern pike, walleye, and perch and more. Enjoy easy access public boat launch (1.5miles) and miles of groomed trails for ATVing, snowmobiling and cross-country/snowshoeing trails.

Location, Location, Location!
Our location (center of the UP) is one of our key features because of the variety of day-trip attractions within 1.5 hr drive from us. We are 10 minutes from lake Michigan and 45 minutes from lake Superior! That alone is pretty Great ;)

Main attractions such as, the Big Spring aka Kitch-iti-kipi, Lake Michigan beaches, Lake Superior beaches, Pictured Rocks National park, Grand Island, Fayette State Park, Presque Isle Park/Marquette, Black Rocks, Seney wildlife refuge, Mackinaw Island, Mackinaw City and the Mighty Mackinaw Bridge to name a few.
Also enjoy discovering the many waterfalls and lighthouses scattered throughout the Upper Peninsula.

Speaking of day adventures, we are only four miles north of Downtown Manistique, a charming town that sits on the picturesque shoreline of Lake Michigan and the Manistique river. Wide open sandy beaches, and our two mile boardwalk trail are local and visitor favorites. Eat, shop, game at the local casino or enjoy a round of golf at beautiful Indian Lake golf course.

Great location, amenities were amazing, fully stocked cabin (thank goodness because ai forgot shampoo!). The stars here were beautiful and even got a little Northern Lights as a bonus!

What a gem that Kathy and Larry have and share with their guests- a beautiful lakeside cottage, fully stocked and clean. Furniture is comfortable and homey. Check in was seamless and hosts were incredibly helpful with recommendations in and around the area. Fantastic people! Larry even came back with two more kayaks so we could enjoy a sunset paddle all together. We had full days planned but once we settled in, we decided one day had to be at the property instead- enjoying this little slice of U.P. paradise. Thank you from the Driftless DeGarmo Family!

Great location, very clean and comfortable cabin and wonderful communication with host Kathy Winters

Very comfortable and cozy. Everything you can imagine is supplied from utensils, blankets, ice cube trays, games and puzzles and a nice view of Indian Lake. If you are looking for a place to stay in the upper peninsula I would suggest to stay here.

The accommodations were perfect for exploring the area and taking day trips to nearby attractions. The kitchen is fully outfitted for eating in, you have use of the fire pit, grill, fish cleaning station, and kayaks! Kathy is a fantastic host and was easy to communicate with and had great tips to help us enjoy our stay.

The house itself was cozy and clean but what sets this place apart was the level of kindness from the hosts.We went for a cold weekend of ice fishing and from when we first arrived we were treated as if we were neighbors. We will definitely be back!

Indian Lake gem

Larry and Kathy, the hosts, are friendly, lovely people who have mad the cabin a home away from home. This is our second time at this property and I would recommend it to others.

Outstanding getaway

Facilities were very clean and location was excellent. Great views of the sunset and lake. Hosts were very accommodating, and even brought us hot barley beef soup when we came in from ice fishing. Looking forward to get back there.

Very nice place, clean, beautiful lake that was great for swimming. Very friendly property managers, that offered lots of suggestions on what to do and where to visit in the area. Nicely stocked kitchen (pots, pans, plates, etc.) Super relaxing and beautiful views. 10/10 would recommend.

Perfect Paradise!

This property was fantastic! It was a perfect location to see all the UP has to offer. The hosts were very gracious and excellent with communication. Quintessential Cabin

Me and my two sons had a lovely time and want to come back with my husband. It was very clean, had plenty of space for all of us, many comforts of home, and the advertisement about the sunset wasnt exaggerating. We also happened to go when the largest meteor shower of the year was happening and it was the perfect place to watch the stars while the breeze off the lake kept the bugs away. The owners were attentive and personalble. Overall it was the favorite stay location of everyone on our trip.

ICE FISHING PARADISE

Everything went as well as we could have hoped. The owners Larry and Kathy were awesome,they were friendly with great local knowledge. The accommodations were great 3 beds with plenty of space in the main area for gathering. The cabin was perfect to launch our snowmobiles for the annual ice fishing tournament. I honestly have no complaints. Enjoy the outdoors!

The perfect UP getaway

The pictures of this cabin don’t even do it justice. It is gorgeous, well decorated, and incredibly clean and well-stocked. It has a beautiful view of Indian Lake, and access to the waterfront between two other cabins. There was more than enough space for our family of four. Kathy and Larry are some of the nicest people I have ever met, and you can tell that they love renting out these cabins. They gave us lots of great advice on local attractions (they have a handmade binder of local attractions in the cabin that goes over everything possible for food and fun) that made our trip a hundred times better. It’s close to great spots— 10 minutes to Kitch-iti-kipi and about 45 minutes to Pictured Rocks. I wish we could have stayed longer, but we will be back. If you’re visiting the UP, you absolutely HAVE to stay here.

Great stay for kids

Very cute cabin by a lake. The cabin was cute and had everything we needed. They had extras like games and children's books. Lots of space to hangout together as well as 3 separate bedrooms. Easily slept 3 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs. The owners put up a hammock right outside our door for my children (9 & 5) to help entertain them. There were two fire pits. A small private one on the beach and a larger community one. All wood was provided. The lake was gorgeous and the kids could get far out without it getting to deep for them. We didn't get a chance to use it but they also had kayaks and canoes you could use. It was an absolutely lovely stay with gorgeous views, our kids loved it!
