What a great place to Stay!! I have been coming up to Point Au Baril for about 10 years now and this was by far one of the nicest cottages that I have had the Opportunity to stay at. Sandra was an amazing host and very responsive when we had any questions.. The location was perfect at PAB and cottage was very clean and everything almost looked new.. Cottage was well stocked and there was plenty of space for me and my extended family having 8 adults and 3 kids.. will definatly be back in the not so distant future.. )

How lovely! Always happy to hear we are doing a good job. We loved hosting Yousif's group and we look forward to adding to the experience as we host more groups. Great additions to be added each year. Come back soon :)
Wonderful property, lots of space, great for a group, fun for every age with great swimming, sandy area to wade, rocks to soak up the heat on, and lots of seating outdoors, shaded and sunny. Internet was superb, bathrooms and laundry great. Near to great little bakery/ice cream place at Pointe au Baril and easy 30 minute drive to parry sound.

It was our first time hosting a family with young children and it was a complete pleasure having such a clean and curteous group. Seema's feedback and exellent communication made it easy to provide exellent service and we hope to have them back again soon.
The host is amazing from booking to check-in. Very quick to answer any questions and a joy to communicate with. The location is very picturesque and the large kitchen with unbelievable storage and every kind of dish/utensil that you need was very welcome. The kitchen dining table has seating for 8 and there is also room around the large island for seating as well. Large couches on both upper and lower levels as well. Our group of 8 stayed at this location for a extended weekend and there was an upper sun deck to enjoy and lower level decks if shade is needed. Our group enjoyed a little fishing off their dock and the location is situated in a nice quiet bay if you need time time just unwind and relax. We would recommend this location as you wont be disappointed with the 4 bedrooms and place for everyone to enjoy!

What a lovely review. Thank you. It was a pleasure hosting such a clean and organized group. We hope to have you back again soon!!!
Everything from booking to check out was seamless! My family and I were absolutely in awe when we saw the property and it's surroundings. It's perfect for a long weekend getaway and everything was fully stocked for our needs. We had 11 people stay comfortably at the property and Sandra was a pleasure to liaise with. She provided me with a list of activities should we wish along with a contact if I wanted to rent a boat.
Overall, it was one of the best cottages I have stayed in Ontario!

How wonderful that we were able to host such a great experience. Thank you for your generous review and please come back again soon.
Sandra’s cottage will be our new yearly stay.
Beautifully renovated gorgeous cottage private, spacious and with stunning lake view.
They have EVERYTHING and everything is such high quality. Cups, plates, utensils even packing containers if you have some food to take back! The bedrooms are spacious and the master bedroom is a dream with an ensuite, lake views with a large free standing tub.
Even the couches feel designer!
The lake is great, there is a dock, kayaks, a little Sandy area that you can swim in from and so much more.
We barbecued and enjoyed a nightly bonfire and watched the lake change colour as the sun set.
It’s so well equipped all you need is your food and your clothes.
This cottage really does have it all, take a second and we can’t wait to go back!
Sandra is also fab, so communicative with tons of advice and tips. Check in is easy and when we stepped in everyone was just totally wowed!
Can’t wait to return!

Thank you for a wonderful review. We are so happy we were able to make your stay such a great experience and hope to host your group again soon.
Gorgeous, clean, incredible location, all around beautiful property!
This property is a 5-star! Sandra has just renovated it and it’s beautiful. Everything is new. New appliances, new furniture, new water toys including two single kayaks and 4 life jackets. We really enjoyed our stay here. The bedrooms are beautifully appointed. The basement has two pull out couches if you have kids who want to hang out there while others hang out in common first floor area which is open and offers spectacular views of the lake. We rented a boat right next door (3 minute walk) at Pleasant Cove Resort. Was just great to boat around the area to the different island inlets and make a trip to Ojibway Club for lunch and a nature walk. Sandra was amazing - always communicating quickly and made sure our stay was pleasant and that we had all we needed. We highly recommend this property!

About the host
Hosted by Sandra Mieres
Our family is originally from Richmond Hill. Pointe Au Baril is a special place. There is a deep respect for nature and a rich history of aborginal, tribal life and generations of families that love and care for these lands. The people are friendly and neighbours are kind. We are grateful to enjoy a slower pace and a return to nature among the Archipelagos. We are especially happy to welcome others into this special place and hope our guests will benefit from the experience as much we have.
Why they chose this property
We looked long and hard for an area that offered natural beauty, tranquility and low traffic waters with lots of options for boaters and other sporting activities. Clean water and a return to nature were at the top of the list. Pointe Au Baril offers all this and more. The Archipelagos are full of stunning picturesque views and beautiful islands for exploration. The people are friendly, welcoming us into the neighbourhood and into their events. Local businesses and many marinas make it easy to access supplies, seek adventure and enjoy nature from every angle. The views are fantastic from anywhere, whether you are in a boat, kayak, on a dock or in the cottage behind glass windows.
What makes this property unique
the Archipelagos are known for incredible views, thousands of islands, ample crown for exploration and, seasonal sporting: swimming, kayaking, boating, jet skiing, fishing, ice fishing, snowmobiling, skating, sledding, hiking, camping, running, off roading, 4 wheeling etc.
Our Lake House is a 3000 sq ft open concept dwelling which comfortably houses 12 guests. The house offers a private spot on a point between 2 coves with extraordinary views. Easy access off of Hwy 69 is available all year round for all season enjoyment. Over 400 sq ft of shoreline surrounded by trees on either side provide privacy and quiet away from high traffic areas. Multiple trails and parks are a short walk and drive away offering adventurous opportunities. A short boat ride away enjoy a special enclosed picnic spot, The Hole in the Wall (Pointe Au Baril), with 2 sides of sandy beaches and calm warm waters. Another short boat ride takes you to the open water by the POB Lighthouse where an incredible sunset is a must experience. A 23 minute drive takes you into the town of Parry Sound where shopping, dining and tourist excursions are available. Conveniently located, our spot offers a mix of nature, sport and city comforts.
