Step through the magnificent wrought iron gates and horseshoe driveway that lead you to the historic Woolworth Mansion, it is sure to take your breath away. Designed by architect Lansing Holden in 1910, this was the home of the co-founder of the Woolworth Retail Empire, Charles Sumner Woolworth. The iconic property has undergone extensive renovations and has been completely restored. The stately grand house consists of 9000 SF and inspires relaxation and peaceful living with original architectural details. With natural light beaming through windows, soaring ceilings with original woodwork, an adjoining solarium and spacious study hall and dining room this residence doesn't miss a thing. The house is filled with five marble fireplaces, gorgeous original wood floors and a full basement for extensive storage. Let's not forget the whole house generator in case the lights go out. Speaking of lights, the chandeliers, similar to that of the Palace of Versailles put the finishing touches throughout each room. The attached elevated courtyard is great for any venue and the additional 3000 SF carriage house could be used for a prep area or oversized garage space with living space above. Don't miss out on this truly unique property. Whether you are seeking a luxury lifestyle in a great city or would like to share this property as a venue now is the time to be blown away.

Stayed at this property because me and some friends were doing a bike event. Yoel is one of the nicest hosts i've ever dealt with. We had a nice weekend stay in Scranton.
The owner-couple have restored and maintained this beautiful historical mansion, a part of Scranton's once-central role in the economy of the North-East, to create a perfect venue for group gatherings. Their attention to detail has preserved the elegant atmosphere, and at every point of our stay, there was someone to support and answer any questions. The bathrooms are nicely upgraded and the kitchen is fully Kosher, useful for anyone who is serving large groups. Yoel was a fantastic host. He lives nearby and ready to assist with any question or problem. Future upgrades will improve access to showers/tubs, but we had no problem sharing. Young kids have a whole playground to keep them amused. There is one of Scranton's best seafood restaurants 10 minutes walk away, and downtown is just as close. The street is quiet at night. Many beds are equipped with reading lights and outlets for chargers.
I have had a lot of home rental experiences and this one was stand out for me. Yoel and his team (Dave) did a wonderful job ahead of time and during the weekend to make sure we had what we needed. He proactively reached out and offered to help. He brought my kids scooters from his house during the weekend. It was lovely. The house is beautiful. With capacity to host like 30 people. We had lots of room and our kids were able to run and enjoy themselves.
We came up for a girls weekend for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The house had ample space to accommodate our large group of 15. Yoel was very responsive to our questions.
Yoel is an amazing host. He went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed for a fun and productive weekend with our team. He checked in and made himself available to answer questions. The house is beautiful and well furnished. There are multiple coffee stations and plenty of places to gather. The neighborhood is excellent. We had people driving in from all over the Northeast and Scranton was the perfect central location.
This property was beautiful and has so much old charm. They also had multiple coffee stations including an expresso maker that definitely made the mornings brighter. Yoel was extremely amenable and always got back to me within a day whenever I had a question. I was super impressed with how spacious the building was too. Usually when I reserve a place that sleeps 20 people there isn't much space for anything besides sleep. That was not the case at all for this property. The first floor did not have any bedrooms in it which made it great for hosting my party. The pictures don't do it justice. I highly reccomend renting this property if you want to host a small event with friends and family. It was such a neat stay and Yoel was extremely amiable and helpful.
