This home offers lovely views of the city, and the windows bring lots of natural light into the spacious living room. The furnishings are ample and in good shape. The AC was turned on for us, which was welcome in the humid climate. However, when traveling, a comfortable sleep is paramount, and none of us four guests were able to acheive this thanks to flimsy mattresses. One was covered in a plastic barrier that crinkled audibly, with the slightest of motion. Only a paper-thin flimsy sheet separated my skin from irritable, sticky plastic. If this were the only issue, I would have given a still-generous four stars. Unfortunately, an accumulation of smaller details were problematic:1. There was a coffee maker, but no filters, hardly any coffee, and only 3 mugs (there were four of us).2. The outside porch wood is rotting and a rusted screw is poking through one of the railings. I unknowigly leaned on it, and it scratched my arm. Could have been worse.3. A half-empty Gatorade bottle and deli container were found under one of the beds from a previous occupant, indicating that the rooms may not have been thoroughly cleaned.4. Somewhat minor, but the TP in the bathroom was cheap, flimsly one-ply. It would have been nice to at least have comfortable toilet paper.Still, we are a flexible bunch who mostly overlooked these inconveniences and enjoyed our stay at this home while visiting family.
