About this property
Double room 5 - Wildhof
Double room 5:
Bio PVC flooring in wood look, underfloor heating in the bathroom, large walk-in shower, air-conditioned room, high quality, modern furnishings, box spring beds (2 single mattresses) real wood cabinets and bedside tables
The building was built in 1818 by the architect Christian Philipp Wolff as the Prince's game yard. Originally there was a game gate on the site of today's Tiergarten, formerly part of the castle park, in which fallow, red and wild boar were kept for amusement and consumption. The prince's wild master, who lived and worked with his family in the so-called Wildhof, managed the enclosure and took care of the marketing of the venison. Iron hooks in the vaulted ceilings of the cellar are still evidence of this time. In addition to beef, pork, poultry and vegetables from regional organic farms, game and fish from the forests and lakes of the region will also be on the menu. In the middle of the building there is a cozy restaurant with a bar and a fireplace. In the right wing there is another part of the restaurant, which in addition to daytime catering is also suitable for family celebrations and company events. In the left wing there is the spacious kitchen and the staircase to the attic. There are 8 comfortably furnished, fully air-conditioned guest rooms with a total of 15 beds. From the spacious beer garden under old chestnut trees, you have a good view of the zoo.
Arrival is from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and departure is from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
