Centrally located only minutes from ORV trails, 2 golf courses, 2 beaches, cross country skiing, hunting areas, Michigan's 2nd biggest amusement park and the AuSable river that is known for great tubing and canoeing,

It’s not usually in my heart to write a terrible review but they really need to hire a new cleaning company and fix the washing machine. Had to clean to feel remotely comfortable and left a day early because it still felt gross.

The property was disappointing. Firstly, the water is not drinkable per property owner instructions. We were unaware of this ahead of booking. They did not provide drinkable water. The washing machine was not working/broken. WiFi was spotty. The kitchen drawers were falling out/apart. The deck/ exterior was in rough shape. Grill would not light and using a match to light it was dangerous.

Nice little cabin

We enjoyed the feel of the cabin. It was an especially perfect location for where we were visiting. The open space was great for our little one to play and unwind.

We enjoyed staying at this cabin. The place has plenty of room and everything we needed. It had a great cozy feel, but was spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Water pressure was great and we had plenty of hot water. The best thing was the location, it was so peaceful and beautiful. We had deer, turkey, and baby foxes in our yard!Google maps doesn't take you to the exact address, but just keep driving a little ways and you will see it. It was not hard to find.The only problem we had was there was quite a bit of dog hair on the furniture and beds. Thankfully there were plenty of clean sheets and pillow cases so I could change them. Other then the pet hair the rest of the cabin was very clean, no dust, cobwebs, or unpleasant odors

Anniversary weekend

This is a lovely, quiet cabin in the woods. The owners were very responsive and the atmosphere was very charming. Very nice place to relax and get away from it all.

Weekend in the woods

We really enjoyed our stay. Cabin was as expected. It had everything we needed and was comfortable. The neighborhood had lots of room to explore. The hosts were helpful and responsive. We would definitely stay again.

Quiet Cabin

This cabin was what we were looking for. Close enough to town, trails and the river yet on a nice quiet, wooded lot. Was expecting the kitchen to have more pots & pans but would recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to visit the area.

Last minute fall color tour by the amazing AuSable River. Great area for many adventures. Had a great time running the trails through the National Forest along the river. Only 10 mins to Mio for a quick run to pick up carry out. The River House is solid. Pet friendly property for all those who refuse to leave your hairy faced children at home. Always appreciate those who understand that our pets are members of our family. Thanks so much for the use of your property.
