Heidi’s place was very charming and exactly what we needed. It’s in a convenient location to downtown or shopping. I would recommend it and definitely stay again.
We stayed here overnight but it’s definitely a place we would book again for an extended stay. It’s clean and cozy with all of the amenities in a quiet town, not far from shops, grocery stores or places to eat, and the host Heidi was responsive.
This house definitely does NOT have 2 queen beds. It has 2 full/double beds and 1 twin bed.My husband and I could not comfortably fit together on either of the double/full mattresses and had to switch rooms with my son so we had the room with the one double and one twin and I slept on the twin while my husband slept on the double in the same room.My son slept on the double/full mattress in the other room but these beds were not big enough for two adults to comfortably sleep together.Everything else was pleasant and as described. Parking could sometimes be difficult as people do not have driveways or garages in this neighborhood so it is all one-way street parking. You must know how to parallel park!
Convenient location to Chambersburg Mennonite Church where we were attending a wedding. House was charmingly remodeled. Hostess was attentive and easy to contact.
We loved this house. It was super clean, cozy, and well decorated for the holidays. There were cute little touches like coffee for the next morning and hot chocolate/marshmallows.
Within walking distance was a brewery, indoor farmer's market and coffee shop. Heidi was also great about giving us recommendations for restaurants.
The only drawback is the messy yard next door- broken trampolines, bathtub, and other random stuff thrown into the yard. It takes away the curb appeal of this adorable house.
This is a great little house in Chambersburg. The home has clearly been renovated and decorated with comfort and aesthetics in mind. The home was very clean - probably one of the cleanest homes I’ve seen for an VRBO. Everything was in good order and very accommodating. Our host, Heidi, was very knowledgeable in making suggestions for things to do and restaurants to try. We were able to visit the Apple festival and try one of the local restaurants that is within walking distance (Gearhouse). The home is located on a residential street but within walking distance to downtown. Great place to stay!!
When we arrived the door code was incorrect but one call, all was resolved quickly. The host very nice and friendly! Very clean and everything we needed at our finger tips!Would recommend, absolutely!! Joel
Our group of four adults was looking for a rental house in Chambersburg for just two nights, preferably near the Gearhouse Brewing Company. Heidi’s place was perfect! The place was exactly as described, very comfortable and within easy walking distance to the brewery. And the house was spotless! I would highly recommend staying there.
The house was cute, and made a perfect stop for our family on the way home from a long trip. The house was clean and the beds were comfy. The Christmas tree was a nice additional touch.
There were quite a few restaurants nearby to choose from, and Jim's Market is within walking distance and worth a stop while you're there.
The only issue I had was that a piece or two of the silverware wasn't quite clean, there was a small amount of crusted food, similar to when you run it through a dishwasher and it misses something.
Overall, I would definitely stop here again.
We stayed here on the way from CT to SC. Heidi is a great host- place was clean and comfortable. We liked it to much we are staying here on our way back!
We were able to just spend one night, but found this lodging to be very clean, with a well-equipped kitchen and everything we needed to feel well taken care of. And we could park right in front of the house which was wonderfully convenient.
