Gated Estate- Lake, Vineyard and Barn View Cottage

We would love for you to come and enjoy our property that we have named Day Dream Estate and Stables. This property is a labor of love & hard work that has been developed from Day Dreaming, hence the property name. We are easy going and love to entertain! While you are here, if the door is open, stop by the Hobbit Hole (to the left of the Ranch House) and join us for a Happy Hour drink. This is where "Dreams become Reality and Reality become Dreams", so we say. If you want to see the barn, meet the animals, take a property tour, help harvest grapes or our organic garden or just want to spend time alone, we are here to accommodate you and your guest(s), if we are here, during your stay. We also have a 2nd home in Dillon, MT that will soon be on the VRBO website. Our dream is to live in Dillon during summer and this property will be able to be entirely rented out for weddings, family reunions, friendship gatherings, yoga retreats, dinner parties, bachelor & bachelorette parties, etc... In the meantime, we are working on creating at least two more VRBO spaces, so the property will soon be able to accommodate approx. 16 guests as there will be 8 king/queen size beds & 6 bathrooms. Jerry grew up in Fort Bragg where he started running. He went on to Sac State and continued his competitive running career. He majored in Business and has been a Painting Contractor for 39+ yrs. He also was the Track & Field Coash at Ukiah High for 22 yrs.. He is the father of 5 children and has 2 grandchildren. Melinda grew up in Los Gatos. After high school she moved to Santa Barbara, for 12 yrs., where she studied English Language & Literature and worked at high end restaurants. She has 1 daughter. She moved to Nevada County, for the next 16 yrs. and moved to Mendocino County approx. 2.5 years ago. She is a licensed Real Estate Loan Agent, for the past 20+ yrs. and manages all the properties, while always on the lookout for the next real estate investment opportunity.

This property is special and an absolute work of art. Jerry has developed this property for the past 25+ yrs., so it has beautiful mature landscape. Our property is very private and an oasis in the middle of Valley but is walking distance to the town square market, bar and restaurant. We are also only a 10 minute drive to Ukiah and so have all the luxuries of a larger town just minutes away from our rural estate. Redwood Valley has our favorite restaurant/bar called The Broiler Steakhouse which is a 5 minute drive and Calpella has another iconic restaurant/bar called Club Calpella- both have delicious food. There is also a Thai restaurant- Thai Tasty a 5 minute drive and La Palapa Mexican restaurant is walking distance from our property. The infamous Vic's Bar is walking distance from our property, which has a pool table. We rarely leave the property and often get food "to go" as we just love spending time here. There are many zones, as we like to call them, around the property... we have the Boat Dock, with seating overlooking the lake, the large back deck of Lake Cottage, with a 6-8 person hot tub, with a table to enjoy a meal, a couch & several lounge chairs. We have the square deck with seating, behind the Castle Gates, that is private, shady and is nestled up to the back vineyard. There is seating in front of the organic garden to enjoy the lake, there is seating on the lawn behind the Lake Cottage, over looking the lake, there is seating next to the mule pasture to enjoy the mules and there is seating behind the Hobbit Hole, over looking the lake. Finally, the pool area, has several lounges and chairs, with a big grill and tables for dining or to just sit and have lunch. You can take a walk around the lake, enjoy the gas fire pit that is just above the pool area. There is lots to look at and you are simply surrounded by amazing landscape where you will find places to always maintain your privacy, should this be what you are desiring while you are here.
