Idlewild is located in the heart of Lake County, the perfect area for outdoor enthusiasts. The historic Idlewild community is well known for cultural festivals, jazz events, water sports, rest & relaxation. Our house features 1 queen sized bed, 2 twin beds, & 1 twin blow up mattress. Full kitchen w/stove, all cookware, microwave, refrigerator, and a grill for all your cooking needs. No wi-fi & weak cell phone signals so you can detach from technology. We have a 65-inch TV and LOTS of movies: comedy, action, kid friendly, and classics for the family as well as games. House sits on 6 lots so bring your camper and outdoor toys!

Lake county has 146 lakes & trout streams & trails. If you own a kayak, boat, jet ski, 4 -wheeler, or any other ORVs then you MUST bring them with you. The trailhead is easily accessible 2 miles from property at 6023 S. Forman Road behind the Dollar General. Information is available for you to visit Baldwin Canoe Rental which rents canoes, kayaks, and tubes for floating on the Pere Marquette River. You will enjoy the peace and quiet of the woods with your friends and family! If you’re looking to visit other areas of Michigan this is a great pit stop along the way. Cute home in woods

My friends and I like to stay in the woods every summer. This place was perfect. Quiet, definitely in the middle of no where! Owner was helpful and responded quickly to any questions.

My name is Kenneth Nichols, and I grew up in the Idlewild area that you are interested in visiting. As much as I love traveling with my wife and daughter some of my fondest memories were created in Idlewild as a kid and even as an adult. I would love to host you and your family in the same home that we use when we visit the area.

Why they chose this property

This property is being offered at a great value. There are a lot of outdoor activities that you can take advantage of in the area without breaking the bank. It has comfortable beds and a full kitchen for you to cook your meals.

You can also take advantage of the activities and amenities offered in a safe rural environment. It is blocks away from Idlewild Lake and less than a mile from Williams Island where there is a beach and boat launch. If you are stopping through as part of longer trip we have information on other well known destinations (lighthouses, wineries, state parks, etc.) for you to visit.

What makes this property unique

My family and I put a lot of work into making this home cozy for our friends and family to visit. The house sits on a few lots of land which makes it perfect for entertaining guests outdoors. We also love the decor of the home that we chose together.
