Steps from your own dock on Lake Adger, this wooded 2-acre lakefront home includes kayaks, paddleboards, and a fire pit for evening lake views plus free daily attraction tickets, an easy Blue Ridge foothills base near Tryon and Chimney Rock.
The Space:
This lakefront home sits on two wooded acres along Lake Adger, with a private dock just steps from the back door the kind of setup where a morning kayak paddle or an afternoon on the water becomes part of the daily rhythm rather than a special occasion. Deer wander through the yard, the lake stays close, and the Blue Ridge foothills provide the backdrop for the whole stay.
Inside, the living room centers on a stacked-stone fireplace with a gas insert, framed by wood-paneled walls and a leather sectional a good spot to unwind after a day outdoors. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, oven, coffee maker, and the cooking basics needed to put together real meals, with a dining table for gathering the group. A dedicated workspace and fast wifi (167 Mbps, speed-test verified) cover remote work between outings. The three bedrooms sleep up to nine guests: a queen in the first, a queen plus two twins in the second, and a king in the third, backed by three full bathrooms and a half bath. In-home laundry rounds out the practical side of the stay, and pets are welcome.
Outside is where this property does its best work. The wraparound deck, furnished with rocking chairs and reached through French doors, looks out over the wooded lot toward the water. A fire pit with seating sits in its own private clearing for evenings between lake days. Down at the water, the private dock is set up for swimming and fishing, with kayaks and paddleboards included for guest use and a boat slip available if you're bringing your own. A gas grill and outdoor dining space make it easy to eat most meals outside.
One added perk: stays under 28 nights come with free daily tickets to select local attractions, redeemed through the welcome email a built-in way to explore the area without extra cost.
Mill Spring sits in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, with Lake Adger roughly 438 surface acres with 14.5 miles of shoreline right outside the door. Chimney Rock State Park is about 35 minutes away for hiking and waterfall views, the Tryon International Equestrian Center is roughly 25 minutes out, and Green River Cove offers tubing about 25 minutes from the house. Downtown Saluda, a small historic town with shops and cafés, is around 30 minutes away. A car is recommended for getting around, as the roads are paved and easy to navigate. Between the dock, the fire pit, and the wooded quiet, this is a home built around slowing down at the lake.
Guest Access:
Smart lock code will be emailed 2 days before arrival.
The Neighborhood:
Mill Spring is a quiet, rural stretch of the Blue Ridge foothills built around Lake Adger, a roughly 438-acre lake with 14.5 miles of shoreline. The setting is more nature retreat than town — expect wooded roads, water views, and space between neighbors rather than sidewalks and storefronts.
The lake itself is the main draw, about a three-minute walk from the house, with room for kayaking, swimming, and watching for wildlife along the shoreline. For a bigger day out, Chimney Rock State Park is about 35 minutes away with hiking trails and waterfall views, the Tryon International Equestrian Center (roughly 25 minutes) hosts equestrian events alongside its own shops and restaurants, and Green River Cove offers a family-friendly tubing run about 25 minutes from the house. Downtown Saluda, a small historic town with boutiques and cafés, is around 30 minutes away.
For meals out, Larkin's Carolina Grill (about 15 minutes) is the closest option, with Legends Grille (20 minutes), Huckleberry's Tryon for brunch (25 minutes), and Side Street Pizza and Purple Onion (each about 30 minutes) a bit further out.
A car is recommended for getting around — the roads are paved and easy to navigate, though distances add up in this part of Western North Carolina. Past guests note that grocery runs and other errands are roughly 25 minutes away, so it's worth stocking up early in the stay. In exchange for the drive, guests get a genuinely secluded lake setting with wildlife in the yard and mountain foothills all around. There is an 80-horsepower limit on pontoon boats and a 60-horsepower

House and grounds were very clean and maintained. Everything was ready for our stay, even kindling in the fire pit and local products for us to try! Peaceful and quiet-just what we needed. The lake and dock was perfect for fishing and playing with our dog in the water!
We had a fantastic at the lakefront house and enjoyed every minute of our time there. There was plenty of space for our family and pooch, the kitchen was adequately stocked and the porch was a wonderful spot for morning coffee and evening hanging out. The paddle board and kayaks were easily accessible and we used those as well. We wouldn’t think twice about a return visit to the lakefront home!
We had a wonderful stay at this mountain cabin. It was well stocked, had linens, a nice selection of books, and, of course, access to a beautiful lake. The house was lovely with hardwoods everywhere. We would definitely stay again. The property is close to several towns so we were able to enjoy hikes, dinners out, and day trips. The driveway is extremely steep-my husband had to bring all the cars down as the other drivers were uncomfortable. There are many steps both to the house and to the lake, which we didn't mind at all, but would be difficult if you have any mobility issues. Overall, it was lovely, very comfortable, and we would definitely come again!
What a great house and property! We had such a wonderful stay. The house is large and comfortable. Kitchen was great for prepping meals with everything easily accessible and not cramped with counter space. The property is landscaped beautifully with lots of space for family and dogs to enjoy. Will definitely stay again.
This house was even better than described, with an incredibly well stocked kitchen, easy access to the water and toys to play with. Comfortable furniture. Quiet neighborhood. We will book here again.
With a family of seven members, we found Lakefront Oasis to be roomy, clean and very comfortable for all of us. The view of Lake Adger was fabulous and we enjoyed swimming and fishing from the floating pier. The kids especially enjoyed playing on the lily pad. Corey was helpful and answered any question about the house promptly. We enjoyed our stay and would likely visit the area again.
Clean house, lots of space, quiet (we were there the1st week of June). The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked. It's a bit isolated but we were there to do paddle board, kayaking and fishing, (swimming and reading) so it was perfect for our family. It was exactly what we expected based on the pictures and the description of the property. (yes, indeed, there are around 75 steps between the deck of the house and the lake)
Wonderful property! The house is large, nicely decorated, very clean, and exceptionally well stocked with everything we needed. The large lot is very private and peaceful - we saw deer every day. The lot is very sloped, so lots of stairs to and from the lake, but nothing unmanageable (I'd consider us average fitness level). We enjoyed using the kayaks and paddle board on the lake - very little boat traffic during our stay. The water was a bit too murky for us to swim, but the dogs loved splashing at the water's edge. Overall, a great, relaxing getaway!
We had a lovely time! The weather was beautiful, warm and a little rainy at first but on the day we left it was 64*, so we got to experience many facets of lake life. The house is perfect for a family with grown children and a teenager. Everyone got to spread out but we mostly gathered in the dining room with its big table and beautiful views of the lake. This is our second stay on the property and we will definitely come back. Kitchen is perfect for making meals for a large family (23, 21 and 19 are our son's ages and our daughter is 15) and everything is easy to find and well maintained. We had a beautiful trip and so did our dogs!
We had a nice, peaceful stay at this lakeside retreat. It's in a very nice community with all paved roads. We got plenty of exercise climbing up and down all of the steps on the property and the incline on the driveway. Good way to stay fit on vacation. We saw a lot of deer on the property and in the community. We fished and kayaked at the property and rented a pontoon boat from a company that delivered the boat to us at the Lake Adger boat ramp nearby. We also visited the Biltmore Estate and the BMW Plant. The property is fairly convenient to both sites.
This home was beautiful and in exceptional condition. Everything was clean, comfortable, and in new shape. My family stayed during what would be the off-season. Spring was just beginning and it was the perfect time to enjoy birds and butterflies. The days were just warm enough and the nights dark, quiet, and just seasonably chilly. We saw an amazing variety of wildlife. What a great time! Thanks.
Pristine property with amazing amenities. Lovely deck, perfect for sipping morning coffee and enjoying the view. We had such a wonderful time on the water even got my father in law (who is afraid of water) out in a kayak and he loved it. Playing ping pong 🏓 was definitely a work out and full of laughs. At the end of the day making family dinner and sitting around the table playing games was such a perfect way to end the day.
One thing I would mention that was a little bit of a surprise was the number of stairs on the property, the pictures don’t quite definitely got our work out.
We enjoyed our stay at this quiet lakefront home. The interior was clean and comfortable, the kitchen was well appointed, and the internet speed was surprisingly fast for Lake Adger. The deck offered great views with plenty of seating, and the setting overall was peaceful and relaxing.A few things did affect our experience slightly. The walk from the parking area to the house includes quite a few stairs, some of them uneven—just something to keep in mind for anyone with mobility concerns. There were also a couple of minor maintenance issues, such as the sofa recliners not working and a noticeable mildew smell in the sunroom where the ping pong table is located. The kayaks were filled with rainwater and not usable during our visit.Still, it’s a lovely home in a beautiful spot. With a few small improvements, it could easily be a five-star stay.
Our family six had a great time.
Kayaks and paddle boards were provided for us and my children use them multiple times.
House had plenty of space for our entire family.
There was a ping-pong room and an arcade area as well. The master Bedroom Mattress was very comfortable. It was nice to have a washer and dryer. We used it plenty of times to clean all the clothes of our children before we left. I can’t think of any cons of the house. Except, a driveway is a little far away from the front door, and all of us had our own suitcases to carry down the many steps to the front door. Certainly not a dealbreaker, and there are so many more pros that it would not keep me from renting here again. We had so much fun. Thank you…..
Our group of 6 (4 adults and 2 children) enjoyed our time together at Lake Adger as we celebrated 2 birthdays. This is such a quiet neighborhood (lots of deer, turkeys, and even a skunk) and there is almost no boat traffic, especially in the cove where the house is located. We really enjoyed swimming and floating in the lake. There are kayaks, a stand-up board, and some floats, and I think we used them all! The house itself has plenty of room, especially in the living room, where we could all sit together while watching TV or talking. There are plenty of beds and bathrooms! The kitchen is well stocked with lots of dishes, pots, pans, and silverware. The house is very clean without lots of "stuff" to get in the way!
As others have stated, the only "hardship" is the distance from the house down to the lake (and back up the hill again), but this is the way lake houses are in the mountains. This would not have stopped us from renting this vacation house at all!!!
Corey was very helpful and responded to any questions in a very timely manner. Thank you, Corey, for helping to make this an easy, comfortable, and wonderful time for us.
