Cozy stay.
Very nice house and pictures are accurate. Only drawback was some lightbulbs were burned out and the bedrooms were dimly lit. Minor issues. Other than that it was a fabulous place to stay!

Management is a joke
The cabin was perfect for what my family and I were looking for, but it wasn’t clean. There were a piderwebs above the tv and dining area. The ac return vent was caked with dust. The oven had left over grease in it which caused smoke to build up and set off the smoke detectors. I was given a passcode to the door but it’s not for that keypad. It’s for the lockbox on the railing which nobody tells you. Also as mentioned in the previous review, if you don’t have the key with you when you go outside the door will auto lock itself after ten seconds and you’re locked out. We had to take the batteries out of the keypad in case the key was inside while we were playing with the kids outside. We were assured that the snow was removed from the roof and walkways clear. We got to the cabin and the snow was not cleared off of the roof. The Vacasa rep straight up lied to us saying it was cleared. We had to clear the walkway ourselves and the path to the vehicles through the snow was very narrow. We had to dig out the grill that was snowed in on the porch as well. We sent numerous requests and calls to Vacasa with no explanation except that they would let “local” management know. I have yet to hear from a manager as requested. I am not one to leave bad reviews but Vacasa is terrible. The cabin could be great but the management company is a disaster.

Poor management tarnished very nice property
The property itself was as pictured in the VRBO description, although the bedrooms were smalker than picturedand the spaces not as deluxe as they appeared. The fire shown in the fireplace was mis-represented, as it was a wood fireplace with no wood, kindling,or ever fire lighting materials on the property. The main problem with the property was the extremely poor property management, not the property itself. The entry codes provided for the door lock did not work, leaving us out in the 30 degree cold while we called the out-of-town manahement company. They gave us another code for the door, which did not work. We finally got a single key out of a lock box, but the door would deadbolt automatically after a few seconds. This meant we could be locked out completely just by going out to the car while leaving the key inside. Once inside, the wifi code provided was completely wrong. In fact, we had to tell the management company what the correct codes were. We complained to the management company about 3 inches of trecherous ice on the stairsteps. They told us it was our responsibility to remove, that we should 'look for some salt in the house', and we should have brought our own snow-shovel. Finally, we put a bag of popcorn in the microwave. In 90 seconds, it burst the popcorn bag into flames and filled the house with smoke, setting off the smoke alarm. Other than these initial problems with management, we honestly enjoyed our stay at the property. It was clean and charming.

So comfy. So convenient. So perfect!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My stay at Bear Necessities was simply amazing! The neighborhood was quiet, well manicured and the location was perfectly convenient to all. 2 min drive to 7-11 for any last minute snack needs and 5 mins to a delicious restaurant called Gar Woods Grill & Pier. The kitchen was fully stocked, had many misc. items that most people need here & there (spices, coffee, popcorn, etc.). The set up was perfect for our business trip as 2 bedrooms + full bath located on the main floor & 2 bedrooms + bath upstairs. You do have a few stairs to climb for entry, but they are wide & stable. Full side by side washer & dryer, EXTRA towels, pillows & blankets & basic items like dishwasher soap, hand soap & travel shampoo/conditioner & lotion were present. I appreciated being able to watch Netflix, turn the heater on easily & use the super fast Wi-Fi. I would HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone. Located on a large lot & plenty of parking on the street if needed.
