In the name of relaxation in 2015, the new guesthouse in Kloster Steinfeld opened its doors. From the former boarding school 64 rooms in the upper four-star standard. Only the floor plan and the staircase remind of the fact that students used to live there. The spirit of the monastery is still to be felt: the rooms, between 25 and 30 m² in size, exude a monastic simplicity combined with contemporary design and comfort. They were equipped with solid oak plank floors, natural stone in the bathrooms and natural materials for fabrics, covers and blankets. The comfortable box spring beds are generously sized with a length of 2.10m. Wifi, flat screen TV, mini bar and telescopic reading lights are standard. The rooms are decorated with works of art from the Steinfelder Akademie. In addition, all rooms are barrier-free and we have a disabled room with panoramic windows provided. A glass elevator connects the three floors of the house.

Surrounded by the green of the North Eifel, the two white towers of the basilica Steinfeld rise behind the wide-open, wrought-iron gate of the monastery gate. The historical beginnings of the monastery stone field go back more than 1000 years, the plant is considered as one of the best preserved monastic architectural monuments of the Rhineland. For almost 100 years, the Salvatorian Congregation has been at home here - offering its guests an extraordinary place to stay. As a center of education and spirituality, art and culture, the religious community makes the monastery a tangible experience for the guests. You will discover the pilgrimage site with the tomb of St. Hermann and the historic king organ of the basilica as a cultural-historical and religious center of the region. Organ vespers, concerts and musical meditations invite you to visit, as well as the guided tours of the monastery complex with cloister and chapel. The Akademie Kloster Steinfeld, meanwhile, offers adult education in a monastic atmosphere - a counterpoint to the burdens of everyday life. The new guesthouse of the Steinfeld monastery promises a comfortable stay in a monastic atmosphere with 64 comfortable rooms in four-star standard. The spacious guest rooms are decorated with natural materials such as wood and granite. Artists of the Akademie Kloster Steinfeld have provided their pictures to give the guest rooms an individual touch. In addition to the 3 rooms for the disabled, the entire guest house has been designed to be barrier-free. The monastery is also a place of deceleration and encounter. In the heart of the northern Eifel, it is the starting point for a variety of excursions to castles and palaces, leisure facilities and museums in the area.
