Nice house in need of significant attention

We had 14 people staying in this house - the set up of the kitchen, great room, bedrooms, basement game room, and multiple decks is very nice. However, the house was dirty with cob webs and bugs in the corners of every room. In addition, there were multiple broken items (the elevator, the ceiling fan in the main great room, non-working blinds, A/C in one of the bedrooms, several of the locks of outside doors, etc). The door from the house to the garage was stuck shut so we had to leave the garage open to avoid getting locked out of it. All of decks had terribly peeling paint. Our family enjoyed using the basketball courts and volleyball courts, and we enjoyed the beach (it is quite a long shuttle ride). The grocery store is right outside the community and we shopped there every day! So overall - a nice house in need of significant attention, especially for the price charged for a 1-week stay.

TLC needs

Very nice house but it could use a little TLC. Noticed a lot of the outside paint was chipping and peeling off. Must be hard for paint to hold up to the Outer banks weather. The elevator didn't work. It needed a gate which the guys came on Monday of our stay to fix but the wrong size gate was ordered so that couldn't install it. The elevator had to be shut down and was inoperable for the remainder of our stay. Not a problem for us but if someone was traveling with a person(s) who can't do stairs, it was going to be an issue. We had a good time.
