'Sasquatch Ranch' - Renovated 1975 Log Home (1850 sq.ft.) on 9 acres, built by a descendant of Swiss land grant immigrants, across from the Chehalis River. Authentic. Natural. Invigorating. Peaceful. Old World. The home is 67 miles to Westport fishing, surfing beaches, 86 miles to Johnston Ridge Observatory at Mt. St. Helens, 98 miles to SeaTac, 104 miles to PDX, 122 miles to Mt. Rainier, 1. 4 miles to Jones Brewery, 15 miles to Chehalis, 3 miles to the Owl and Olive, 1.5 miles to Doty General Store, 1/4 mile to Willapa Hills bike trail. The 9 acres comprises pastures with two barns, and wooded hillsides.

Listing states air conditioning. There were 2 days of 95 degree temperatures-stifling hot with no air conditioning! Had to spend night at hotel. Did not have any fans. Also no tv. Tv was not listed on the ad but I guess I assumed there would be one. It’s a beautiful home and beautiful location nearby to family. Nearby river access for swimming and fishing. Near Doty General store-quaint friendly and well stocked. Nice little cafe in Pe Ell and nearby corner market. Beautiful views!

The home has a modern digital centralized heating and AC system, though I do not find the settings use intuitive. The main living room has a really good large ceiling fan. There is also a large portable fan in the basement.
