About this property
Toddy's camp on the pond
Come to camp! Charmingly simple! An escape to transport yourself in time, and have time, to completely relax for just a little while on the edge of a small bass pond. Tucked away from busy tourist lakes, it allows you to experience a simpler, slower pace with fewer conveniences to distract you from the quiet beauty of your surroundings and lure you to a variety of outside activities. Come, if you like to swim, fish, canoe, and hike the woods and mountain trails. Or do nothing but kick back on the deck, reading, watching wildlife, listening to a distant waterfall, or catching an evening sunset over the mountains around a campfire. Toddy's camp is a sweet spot for family time, couples getaways or solo, quiet time.
Our camp is well lived in, well loved with four generations of memories.
Old, charmingly rustic, and clean with a mix of comfortable furnishings from eras gone by, it's ready with fresh linens and stocked with necessary items to start your stay. No tv or internet, spotty cell signal, no washer/dryer or a/c (we have fans). Come, if you like to swim, fish, canoe, and hike the woods and mountain trails. Or do nothing but kick back on the deck, reading, watching wildlife, listening to a distant waterfall, or catching an evening sunset over the mountains around a campfire. Just bring your bathing suit, fishing pole, hiking gear, kayak, even golf clubs and get ready for some ME time. It's the perfect place to refresh and renew!
Entering the first floor from the deck, you're greeted with a row of windows facing the pond with lots of light pouring in. The living room, kitchen and dining area flow together with a half bath tucked under the stairway. Kitchen is fully equipped and stocked with pantry basics, coffee maker, Keurig, full fridge, stove and microwave. There are two bedrooms on the second floor connected by a hallway with accordion doors for privacy. One room has a double and twin bed; one has a queen and twin bed. There is a full bath with a shower.
A large deck with table and chairs, umbrella and gas grill. Below deck is an old dock, fire pit and canoe for adult guests to use.
There is a driveway next to camp with auto sensor lights and adequate for parking two vehicles.
When you’re ready to venture out and explore the area, there is a lot to see and do. Visit local mineral and gem shops exhibiting some of the finest Tourmalines in the country and tour the nearby Maine Mineral Museum. Antiques and flea markets galore, distinctive shops and art galleries to peruse. Walk, hike or drive back country roads around beautiful lakes, hidden ponds and through the mountains. Just 15 minutes to Mt. Abram and 30 minutes to Sunday River for skiers. Come, experience the rich history of the Western Maine mountains where there is something to see and do and appreciate all four seasons of the year.
Guest access: Guests will have full use of the first and second floor of the camp. No access to the basement or garage.
