About this property
Decorated studio overlooking SP @ Ed. Copan
Open concept apartment with incredible views from the 25th floor and all the comfort you need: queen bed, smart TV in a warm and functional decor.
Studio designed by architect Natasha Pirondi, where everything was handpicked trying to preserve characteristics of one of the country's architectural icons, the Copan Building, designed by one of the greatest Brazilian architects in history, Oscar Niemeyer.
The building offers laundry facilities for a separate fee, outside the apartment.
Note: The building is undergoing restoration on the facade, where during your stay there may be construction noise during the day.
For everyone's safety, the Building requires guests to send their documents before arrival. After booking, you must send us a photo ID of all guests.
We need a few hours to authorize your access at the entrance so if you make your reservation for same day entry and it happens outside of business hours, we will need more time to authorize your access.
Visitors are not allowed.
The standard check-in time is at 14:00 and check-out time is until 11:00. If you need more flexibility, please ask us and we will check availability.
Smoking is not allowed in the apartment or common areas of the building. If this occurs, an extra day will be charged.
Our opening hours are from 09:30 to 23:00. After this time we do not have online support.
We only accept small animals (cat or dog) and a maximum of one (01) per reservation with payment of an extra fee. Please inquire before booking.
Details are in every corner of the project, starting with the large and typical Copan window, which has this unique view from the twenty-fifth floor. The wired glass was maintained in the lower part, which, in addition to maintaining the originality and charm of Niemeyer's project, provides much more security against possible accidental breakages. This same special glass can also be seen in the kitchen cabinet, above the sink.
All of the ceiling lining was removed, exposing the building's stylish parallel support beams and the hollow element that opens ventilation to the bathroom immediately draws attention. It is nicknamed cobogó and was used in several areas of Copan, in addition to being widely included in projects of the time, and for that reason it deserved its space in our project.
All the joinery designed and manufactured especially for the apartment has the headboard as the most expressive detail, with a slatted wood format inspired by the Boulevard corridors on the ground floor of the Building.
The hardwood floor is original and was recovered by hand, as in addition to looking beautiful keeping the wood on the floor, it is an ecologically correct form of reuse. The floors in the bathroom and living room are themed with the so-called granilite, which is the same covering used in the Copan corridors.
The tiles in the kitchen were specially chosen for their features inspired by one of the greatest Brazilian artists, Athos Bulcão, whose works make up murals throughout Brazil, especially Brasília in projects shared with Oscar Niemeyer.
The floor plan of the apartment underwent slight alterations to make better use of the space: where there was a kitchen, we made room for a closet and where there was a closet, we now have the apartment's kitchen.
Something very curious is that, originally, the Copan project also envisaged a large hotel, but due to financing and permit problems, the work was stopped for many years and, when it was resumed, the hotel was given up. With the growth of the sharing economy, several apartments in block B are now leased by season and mean that, more than 60 years later, the project now becomes more similar to what the great architect Oscar Niemeyer wanted.
