I sent this info to the host with no comments except."auto messages" asking for a 5 rrview. While the neighborhood felt safe and the neighbors were very pleasant, we encountered several significant cleanliness and maintenance issues upon arrival that indicate your property is not being properly overseen or cleaned. For your awareness, we found the following issues:Cleanliness & Health Hazards:• Odor: There is an overwhelming smell of cat urine near the kitchen and back door.• Linens: The bedsheets upstairs did not appear to have been washed. I ended up sleeping on top of the bedspread with my own blanket.• Kitchen & Fridge: There was dried spilled liquid in the refrigerator door shelves, a dead bug under the bottom drawers, and trash from previous guests left under the kitchen sink. The stove was so dirty it smoked when we tried to boil water for tea. • Dust & Mold: There is visible mold on the ceiling above the upstairs shower, and the ceiling fans throughout the house are heavily caked in dust.Upstairs tolet has rusted bolts & moves when you set on it. A bigger person may get hurt if it breaks loose• AC ilters: The AC filters are extremely dirty and need to be replaced You have water coming in from the outside from gutters or drainage problems from the outside that will rot your flooring. You could actually see & feel water coming from between the cracks in the kitchen floor.• Under beds need a good dust mopping.

The guest did write me a long message after they checked out. There was no other communication from the guest during their stay. The automated message about reviews was sent automatically shortly after her message. When I get a very long message that "everything" is wrong with the place, I have a very hard time responding or taking it seriously because I host 100's of guest at this unit a year and mostly get very positive feedback and reviews. This place obviously didn't meet their expectation but they had already checked out and there was nothing I could do at that point. I hope their next experience is better. I personally don't feel their review accurately reflects the property and based on 100's of other reviews across platforms, neither do most guests.
This was a perfect weekend place for us. We had a parents weekend at UC with our children and their friends/families. Although it was 15 minutes away, it was an easy drive and convenient to Uber as well. Much better than hotel costs near UC. We even used stove and fridge to prepare food to take over (had everything we needed with exception of pot holders). We would stay again!
It is a nice place, but there was a bird that made a nest in the main air conditioning. My friend staying in that room didn't want to report it and have people in their room fixing things. I am sure the property manager would have fixed it if we had.

The property was okay for the price. There was no soap in the main bathroom, and no soap/shower gel in the shower. The box for the hair dryer was there, but there was no hair dryer. It is a bare bones, student apartment.
