About this property

Casita del Sol is a unique freestanding guest cottage surrounded by gorgeous Spanish moss laden oaks. Located 1 mile from lively downtown Palm Harbor - home to a variety of restaurants, bars, breweries and more. The Pinellas Trail (also is only 1 mile away) offers endless fresh air & exercise. A short drive south brings you to quaint coastal Dunedin, the famous beaches of Honeymoon/Caladisi Islands & Clearwater. Just north is Tarpon Springs - home to sponge docks, shops, dining & more.

THE SPACE

Downstairs is a bright comfortable living & sleeping area with a pillow top queen bed, cozy convertible sectional sofa & FireTV.

The spiral staircase brings you to the second floor where there is a nice sitting & dining area equipped with a Roku TV. The well stocked kitchen and bath are also located on the 2nd level.

The kitchen is equipped with refrigerator, Cuisinart convection/toaster/air fryer/oven combo, a 2 burner hotplate, microwave, NutriBullet Blender & a small drip coffee maker. Additionally, there is a propane grill with side burner available for exclusive use of the casita.

With a balcony off the second story as well as two small patios on the first level to enjoy your morning coffee or an evening libation, indoor/outdoor enjoyment is maximized for your stay.

■ Our property is NOT a good match for guests with mobility issues due to the stairs & kitchen/bath being located upstairs

■ This space is not suitable for small children

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

● We love Florida living and all that comes with it....even the wildlife. Guests should keep in mind we share our environment with a variety of wildlife here in Florida including insects, reptiles, birds and more. While we do have regular pest control, you may see some of these friends during your stay. Keeping doors & windows closed and keeping food stored & sealed properly are ways to ensure a little lizard or other friend won't come in :-)

● The purchase of travel insurance is strongly recommended for protection against unforeseen travel interruptions & our cancelation policy.

Best House Im Tampa Area

Great stay

This home is situated in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to main roads in Palm Harbor. It was very well provisioned with any thing one might need. The hosts were very responsive and helpful.

Such a great stay!

We loved staying at this cottage! I had some business in Palm Harbor and decided to make a weekend of it, and I am so thankful! My husband tagged along with my dog and we had the best time! Not only is the cottage really adorable, but the people that own it (Heather and family) are so accommodating with great communication! We hauled our bikes along and rode on the Pinellas trail, which is so close to the cottage, and rode round-trip 15 miles to Tarpon Springs! We cooked in the kitchen and lounged on the back deck, while our dog Vinny roamed a very large fenced in backyard. He had the time of his life, chasing squirrels and lizards :-) the house was clean with everything you need, including anything you forgotten, like deodorant, and toothbrush. I am already dreaming up of ways to stay here again. Thank you so much, Heather!

My husband, JJ, and I fell in love with many things about this property but "La Casita" sealed the deal. We always envisioned having a separate space for our friends & family where they could have privacy and freedom to be comfortable while still being our guests. Knowing that it would not always be occupied we decided to also share the love with travelers visiting our Suncoast area.

How did we get here? JJ & I met in Miami when he was responsible for the Southeastern sector of the US Coast Guard. During his career, "BH" (Before Heather), he did a stint in the Clearwater area and really enjoyed it. We came to visit for long weekends to escape the Miami madness and realized this was more our pace...especially as our daughter was approaching school age. So, we picked up stakes and trekked to the calmer side of Florida and have not had one single regret! We love all this areas has to offer and we're grateful that we can share it with you.
