Perfect spot for Motorcycle Getaway

Hosted some friends from out west for an East Coast motorcycle getaway. Enjoyed our stay tremendously. Real estate manager was extremely communicative. Location was perfect and cabin was beautifully laid out. Garage large enough to accommodate our four full dressers easily. Loved having individual bathrooms with each room. Would definitely stay again.

Awesome Experience

What an awesome location for anyone riding motorcycles in NC. 4 king bedrooms each with their own bathroom. Very little internet or cell service, but it didnt bother our group after all we were on vacation.Management was easy to work with, house was clean, everything we needed was there. We all said we would stay again if we are out that way on vacation.

This was a beautiful and spacious cabin. The owner went over and beyond by providing extra toiletries, pantry items, and even had a little welcome basket. We hope to visit again!

The cabin was great, very clean and plenty of space for our family. I really liked that it had all hardwood floors (tile in bathrooms) and no carpet. Quick communication with the property manager for any questions.

Beautiful cabin with beautiful views. I wish we would have known ahead of time that you could not get a trailer up to the cabin but we were able to park it nearby. We weren’t bothered by it but would have been good to know that there was a biker bar at the bottom of the hill. A little far from restaurants but great place to stay to eat in and hang out.

Beautiful location, fantastic host

This was our 9th annual trip to the Deals Gap area (Tail of The Dragon). We're a group of 7 older bikers and our wives graciously allow us to have our guy trip each year. We always share accommodations but not beds, so it is sometimes hard to find the right place. This place was perfect for our group, especially since we could request some of the king beds be split into twins. Paige (the host) was easy to communicate with and fast to respond to a tiny request we had upon arrival. Some in the group walked down to the Iron Horse Motorcycle Lodge each morning for breakfast and they were happy to serve us. It was a fantastic trip, and we got lucky and had good weather the entire time. Hopefully, we can return again next year.

Bed bugs

First night in the cabin got bit by bed bugs. Needed a new cabin with beds for 8 people but was given a new cabin that was much smaller and only had 3 beds and a couch. I had to book a whole other cabin to give people somewhere to sleep and was only given a 25% discount for the inconvenience. I had to spend double that to book a second cabin last minute. Will never use a property managed by cherokee realty again. Terrible experience and ruined the first two days of my trip dealing with it all. Do not recommend!

Check in was easy. Cabin was clean. Several minor inconveniences. Several bathrooms had only a partial roll of toilet paper with no extra provided. We had to go to the store to buy toilet paper. Surprised to also see that there was zero toiletries in the showers such as travel size soaps or shampoos. Didn’t bring any with us and had to buy some. Internet WiFi virtually non existent. Devices wouldn’t connect even when password correct. And when connected, the internet speed was so slow that you could barely use google. Listing is a bit inaccurate. The listing shows a common room with 2 futons, and another common room with a 3rd futon. We only found 1 pullout futon in each common area instead of the 3 expected. This would have been a big issue had we had 12 people instead of 10. All the dishes from the kitchen were still loaded into the dishwasher from previous stay. We had to unload them. We didn’t find the welcome book and maps of local rides till the morning of checkout. Would have loved to have seen that laid out on the kitchen island or something when we walked in so we would have known it existed. For the good: location was very nice. Secluded, Mountain View’s were gorgeous. Having a garage for the motorcycles was great. We had 5 motorcycles that easily fit with room to spare. Overall, if the cabin was more “check-in ready” without so much effort on our part, it would have been 5 star easily. Overall we enjoyed our stay and are planning to come back next year!
