I had a wonderful stay at this charming 3-bedroom cottage! The space was spotless, well-stocked, and had a warm, inviting atmosphere. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the living area was perfect for relaxing after a long day. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, and the outdoor space was a great bonus. The location was peaceful yet convenient, making it an ideal retreat. The host was responsive and made sure everything was perfect for our stay. I’d highly recommend this place and would love to return!

The neighborhood was very quiet. The cottage very comfortable. It is very close to Lexington so we went there to have lunch at the Wind Jammer. However, we spent most of our time at the cottage playing cards. We really enjoyed having the space heaters where we were playing.
We stayed here for work on the high school. Was very easy to find had everything u could need. Host was easy to talk to and responded quickly. Would definitely stay here again when were back in this area for work
Our family of 5 had a lovely 4 night stay. The beach was sandy, clean and just a short walk away. The rock hunting and swimming occupied our children for hours every day!! We enjoyed visiting the nearby downtown Lexington restaurants, Bunny’s frozen custard shop, and the marina and park. The Cozy Grey Cottage was the perfect place to unwind. The hosts were quick to respond to all questions, and check in and out were a breeze.
This was a great property for us! Clean, quiet, great beds and pillows for a rental. Easy access to walk dot the lake to catch the sunrise. Would definitely stay again.
The cabin was very peaceful and very close to the private beach. The inside was well done with the farmhouse doors and the overall feel was cozy. They had many blankets and pillows and pretty much anything you needed. I recommend staying here if you’re looking to have a nice calming getaway.
My husband and I stayed at the cottage for three nights and it was the perfect little getaway. Beth was wonderful and quick to respond when we had a minor issue working the lock. We loved the location and enjoyed walking in the neighborhood near the water. The cottage was sooo clean! I say this because we’ve had not great experiences with some other rentals. It was lovely to feel right at home and enjoy time both outside and in the cozy grey cottage.
We loved our stay! House was super clean, super cute and a minute walk to the water. The owner took the time to out awesome touches in, great mattresses and amazing bedding. We both teleworked and the wifi carried us both perfectly, Teams calls and all! Kitchen had great touches, nice utensils and great space. We’ll stay here again!
My fiancé and I had an amazing time in the grey cottage! Just as described and more! We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the coziness of the cottage. It was a bit too chilly to walk on the beach but we drove down and watched the sunset! Absolutely beautiful overlooking Lake Huron! We will definitely be back and bring the kids with us!
We enjoyed our stay at this beautifully designed and relaxing cottage. The bed was very comfortable and we appreciated the extra pillows and blankets provided. The overall space and amenities were as described. And little touches like provided shampoo, conditioner, soaps, ice trays & spices were very convenient. We had some issue with using the lock code but the owner was super responsive in helping us get in. Something of note is the faucet in the kitchen is somewhat motion sensitive so it took us a bit to figure that out. Maybe could be added in the description but not a major issue at all. Overall we enjoyed our stay and had a good experience.
Ended up not staying. The door wall lock was broken so did not lock. Didnt feel safe staying for the weekend for girls weekend. The Host was very nice and made check in easy. Very cute house. Did need a little cleaning. Carpet in bedrooms needed cleaning, drawers in kitchen had dirt in them and cobwebs in 1 drawer. Really wish the weekend would have worked out but did not feel safe to stay there while the door wall would not securely lock. Host said she's going to get it fixed. Really wish we could have got a full refund.
I booked this cozy looking cottage from Monday to Wednesday. I live 7 hrs away and have to go through a lot of traffic. I left on Sunday evening because of traffic and we were having bad weather. I ended up driving through horrible and dangerous weather and stayed overnight in another hotel just so we got to the cottage on time. I never got the access code as indicated and didn’t question it. I got to the cottage at check in and no access code and no response, stayed almost 2 hrs waiting and because it was getting late, cold and raining, we had to leave and drive an hour away when we found another place. This ruined our short vacation. I did get a refunded but lost more money, and vacation time for an awful experience. Will never think to book this place nor stay anywhere near it.

About the host
Hosted by Beth
Hello! My name is Beth and my husband, Patrick are your hosts.
I am a critical care physician assistant and my husband works in medical research in Metro Detroit. We have 3 amazing boys, Alex, Lukas and Henry and a springer spaniel, Petey.
After the toll that COVID took, we needed a place to get away. I spent many summers at Lakeport State Park as a child. After countless hours of swimming and exploring, it seemed only natural to have a cottage in a place full of all those fond memories. We hope you create the same for your family and come back to enjoy summers here year after year!
Why they chose this property
We love this cottage most because it's so close to the beach. My second favorite, is relaxing by the fire with a delicious beverage. We choose a design that was modern, yet rustic and calming. It's great for families! The neighborhood is also very friendly.
What makes this property unique
It's only 4 houses to the beach! There's a private beach with 4 access points right on Lake Huron. We have a huge yard for volleyball or running around. We have 5 bikes (2 adult, 1 teenage size and 2 kid size), corn hole and badminton. It's super close to downtown Lexington, just a 5 min drive.
