About this property
Vacation home Schieferterrasse - comfort on - 140 m²
The Riedener Waldsee, Maare, volcanoes and the highest cold water geyser in the world - welcome to the Eifel nature park! The low mountain range in the heart of Germany is one of the most diverse regions in Germany. Only a few kilometers away, the Rhine and Mosel tempt with ancient wine villages and places worth seeing such as Koblenz and Andernach.
The Laacher See in our Vulkaneifel is near the Maria Laach Abbey. It is the largest lake in Rhineland-Palatinate. The last eruption of the former Laacher volcano occurred about 13,000 years ago. Today, the Laacher See nature reserve is a paradise for those seeking relaxation and water sports enthusiasts!
The Nürburgring, the cathedral city of Trier with its historical Roman history and, in the further course of the Eifel, the border triangle with Luxembourg-Belgium are worthwhile excursion destinations.
Andernach - the Roman city on the Middle Rhine, over 2,000 years old, attracts visitors with the world's highest cold water geyser. You can reach the Namedyer Werth peninsula by ship: the water gushes from the earth to the sky at a height of more than 50 m. In the Geyser Center you will learn everything you need to know about made gysirs and volcanism. In Andernach itself z. B. the historic old town and the round tower, one of the most powerful defense towers of its time.
Koblenz- discover the old garrison town of Koblenz at the confluence of the Moselle and Rhine. Countless cafes and restaurants, elegant boutiques and modern shopping centers are luring in the city center. A cable car takes you to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, from where you can enjoy a fantastic view of the city. Romantic boat tours through the Middle Rhine Valley World Heritage Site with its castles and palaces start from the Deutsches Eck. From here you can also reach the world-famous Loreley - the legendary rock is one of the most popular sights on the Middle Rhine.
