The freh eggs were delicious...the Scrabble game and choice of interesting reads much appreciated. Only recommendation would be a smaller frying pan--we were only cooking for two.
Susan was such a welcoming host and made it super easy to find the place. The place had everything we needed and was a cozy little home for me and my family. The views and surrounding areas is beautiful and very well worth the drive!
This was a nice house in a beautiful and convenient location for our hikes. The bed was comfortable, and the host was kind enough to leave us some fresh eggs from her hens.
I had a wonderful stay! The location is remote and the scenery is amazing. Susan is a great host and very familiar with the area. Looking forward to a future visit I hope!

We had a wonderful trip spent Thanksgiving with family. Susan was very accommodating she provided us with extra tables and chair. She also provided us with fresh chicken eggs. That was a wonderful gift. Will differently return.

What better way to reconnect with family than enjoying nature and serenity! It's our pleasure to facilitate those special times.
This is the second time that we have stayed at Mule Creek and love the quiet solitude to explore the acreage and hike at different sites. The area and scenery is absolutely stunning. The cabin is set up with everything needed for a comfortable stay. It was great to have a washer to do clothes before moving on.

Property worked out very well for what we needed during our 6 night stay. The main house kitchen was well stocked, showers were hot and the adjacent casita was perfect for additional guests. Thank-you Susan we appreciated everything.

Thank you Marlon and Robin! I enjoy sharing this beautiful area with others, and am so glad you you had a good visit!
It was a very peaceful week of stay away from busy city life. The house is clean and comfortable, the setup is very peaceful. It is close to Apache and Gila National forests, which makes hiking very convenient.
The host Susan was extremely helpful, she waited at the entrance of the road on the night of arrival just to make sure we didn't miss the turn.

Thanks, Lucy! It's our pleasure to share the sights and experiences of this beautiful place!
Spent the weekend here as we explored the area and were pleasantly surprised at how serene the area was. The property was huge so my dog had a lot of fun exploring the grounds. Apart from some somewhat dusty spots of bedding and a couple of dead bugs in the casita, everything was clean. There were a lot of amenities in case something was forgotten, which we appreciated since the property isn't near any stores. It was a wonderful place to sit back and enjoy the quiet outdoors after a long day of hiking. I would rate it a 9.5/10 and would definitely consider staying here again if we return to the area.
This was the perfect location for our hiking adventures. It was a quiet and cozy stay. We appreciated the all the accommodations the host provided. A sign at the driveway entrance confirming we were at the right place, toiletries in case you forgot your own. She greeted us and provided history and information about the area and answered any questions we had. She was very prompt to respond during our stay. We look forward to returning for another visit.
Ms Susans place is a one of a kind. It’s filled with history and old artifacts. She is one of the nicest, most generous ladies i have ever met. My expectations for my stay were exceeded. I can’t recommend staying at Ms Susan’s place enough. She will greet you at the door with fresh farm eggs and hospitality. You just can’t beat it!

Thank you Wyatt! We enjoy sharing our extraordinary location and lifestyle with our guests. Hope to see you again soon!
This cute house in the country is unassuming on the outside but very well appointed and decorated on the inside. The kitchen is fully equipped and the pantry had a wide variety of items, but bring your own food, the nearest 'big' grocery store is about an hour away. The king bed is super comfortable. The property is spacious with plenty of peace and quiet. The host was awesome, friendly and communicated well. Wifi signal was plenty strong for everything we needed, though we didn't try to stream a movie, all other aspects worked well.
We spent almost a week here and we never ran out of things to keep us busy, next time maybe well stay two weeks!

Thanks for the kind words! Our property is a gem, and we're glad you enjoyed it. Come back soon!
Wonderful vacation but seemed too short!!!
We had a wonderful time visiting Mule Creek and staying at this cabin. The house was well equipped and quite comfortable. Supplies were plentiful too.
We spoke with Susan soon after our arrival and she greeted us with a delicious home-made lemon pound cake…….Yummmmmm!!! She also provided us with fresh eggs from her chickens. What a great host!!!
Susan is so knowledgeable about the local geology and local attractions. She has a ranch next to the rental with cattle and alpacas that totally kept our boxer (dog) interested in our visit. We also loved that a herd of elk visited the area a couple of mornings. Stargazing was phenomenal.
We hiked the Catwalk trail, the Mineral Creek trail, the Maverick Hill trail (next door in Arizona), the San Francisco Hot Springs trail and finally we drove to the ghost town of Mogollon for a short visit.
We also did some rockhounding in the area near the New Mexico/Arizona border.
This is definitely a place we would highly recommend!
