Hanover Vineyards
This beautiful colonial home, which sits on 32 acre goat farm future winery and vineyard (hopefully opening spring 2025), includes 5 spacious bedrooms and 3 updated bathrooms. There is a newly renovated eat-in kitchen plus a large living room with lovely original fireplaces. There are 2 bedrooms on the first floor. The second floor master suite includes a large master bath with clawfoot tub and dressing room. Outside there is a screened-in gazebo with a dining table and gas fire table, a patio with a grill, and a large wood fire pit.

A nature lovers paradise, the property has 32 acres of pasture and forest to explore. Quiet and serene this working farm and vineyard lets you escape. There are goats, chickens and ducks on the property which you are welcome to visit with and help feed.
We are located near many beautiful Eastern CT wedding venues including: Wrights Mill -14 miles Cedarbrook Barn - 6 miles The Overlook at Geer Tree Farm - 9 miles Stone Hurst at Hampton Valley - 11 miles Maple Lane Farms - 13 miles . We are conveniently located close to I-395 and Rt. 2. This puts you in the heart of Eastern Connecticut close to several wineries, spas, golf course, seasonal farmers markets and locally owned businesses.
We are also conveniently located about 40 minutes from the Connecticut shoreline, Mystic attractions, and both the University of Connecticut and Eastern Connecticut State University. We are about 20 minutes from both Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods casinos and Newport RI is a scenic one hour drive.
This home is located on the same property as a farm winery which may be open during your stay. Guests of the winery will not be near the house, however they will be on the hill/barn tasting room. The driveway is shared between the house and the winery. There is also a second short term rental on the property. Please look for he Barn Stay at Hanover Vineyards if you are interested in renting both homes.
What makes this property unique
- Our very friendly dog Pete, a Great Pyrenees, lives on the property to help protect the goats. He sometimes barks at night. - For the safety of our animals, we do not allow pets of any kind at any time on the property. - You are coming to a working goat farm and winery. Although we will respect your privacy, someone will cross the property to do the farm chores. Please let us know if you would like to join us feeding the animals. - Winery and farm store may be open during your stay. - If you have any issues during your stay, please let us know immediately. We have a caretaker on the premises and we’re here to help!
