great place for a quick trip to Providence

The listing is accurate. This is a charming vintage 3rd floor apartment that accommodated 5 adults + 1 teen quite well. The living room itself with the pullout couch has pocket doors that close, so it essentially becomes a fourth bedroom. Atwells Street is bustling, with tons of great eating and coffee options. Other reviews complain about the noise and true, every so often someone drives down the street blasting Total Eclipse of the Heart or Ice Ice Baby, but it's not like the street has constant noise. It was for the most part pretty quiet, punctuated by the driveway mini-concert. This area of Federal Hill feels vibrant and fun/funky. Lots of Italian restaurants, Thai, sushi, Indian, Lebanese, etc. If you're a walker, it's easy to walk downtown or to Brown University. Parking was easy on the street. If you have bad knees, the steep staircase up to the 3rd floor is going to be tough, but for most people it's not a problem. The host is responsive and friendly--we met him in person. The beds are comfortable. All seemed clean. Overall a great place to stay for anyone with decent knees and a tolerance for occasional street noise.

Nice and (not) Quiet

Pros: The place was spacious, airy and clean. It is very centrally located near many delicious restaurants and only a drive away from fun tourist activities downtown. Cons: Finding parking is an expensive nightmare because there is no dedicated parking. It is EXTREMELY loud but that's what you get for being centrally located. So if that's the vibe you're looking for, then this place is perfect. The blinds in the bathroom need to extend past where you sit bc people in other buildings (if they tried) could easily see you just sitting there. Overall: We had a nice time and would recommend for anyone who doesn't mind the well-into-the-night party scene outside.

The apartment was gross we had to disinfect the entire place the floors we filthy and the bathroom was so disgusting it had pubic hairs all over the tub. The previous reviews were not even close on this place., Very dissatisfied.

In the heart of Little Italy, quaint vintage apartment

Visiting our with our adult kids for the Providence marathon race May, 2023. Ample room and great location in the heart of the Italian restaurant district. Vintage apartment with ceiling fans, high ceilings and windows that open. Be aware, no air conditioning and located at top of third floor very steep and narrow staircase. This was not a problem for us. Very noisy Saturday night. Bring ear plugs. Great food just steps away and an easy walk to downtown Providence. We did not rent a car.

Family visit

Great place for a weekend getaway to Federal Hill. Excellent location. Fun place with plenty of lounging space. Tricky stairs getting up to third floor but charming old house!
