Should you prefer to just unplug from the outside world you can choose from assorted board games or Alaskan themed books to chill out with.

Wonderful mid-week retreat
Loved this little cabin, it was just what we needed for a couple days of rest and reflection. The host was amazing with communication and left so many thoughtful touches in the cabin. We loved the stay and look forward to the next time we can come down and have a quiet place of rest.

Above and Beyond
We (my 16-year-old daughter and I) stayed a single night in January. Our host helped us unlock the property when my phone was acting up, directed us to the stocked fireplace and extra logs, and offered to wake us if the northern lights made an appearance! (Sadly, the night was cloud-covered.) The cabin was very clean and well-appointed with subtle luxuries such as cold breakfast items, locally made tea and unusual soda flavors (spruce pine!), and shower amenities unexpected outside of a hotel setting. The host even brushed off our car after a light overnight snowfall! 5/5 very big stars and we will surely visit again!

We began our big adventure in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina where we called home for several years. In 2018 we sold our home, stored what few possessions we decided to keep and set out with to travel the United States full time with our two youngest kids. We visited over 30 states while experiencing some of the most beautiful places the US and Canada have to offer, all the while trying to make it up to Alaska. It took almost five years, but in January of 2022, everything lined up and we headed up the Alaska Highway through Canada to the last frontier.
We wound up falling in love with Alaska within a matter of hours and we pretty well decided that we would probably not be settling back down in the lower 48. By March we were on the hunt for somewhere to call home and the first of July we closed on our dream home and are enjoying being able to share this slice of heaven with visitors like yourself.

Why they chose this property

For us, the property is like living in the middle of a national park. Being fortunate enough to wake up every day looking out of the windows at the beautiful Chugach Mountains in every direction is an amazing way to start the day. We think it is great to be able to give others the same amazing experience as well!

What makes this property unique

No other homes we looked at in the area came close to having the same views, peacefulness and feel of truly being in Alaska. Being out here in the Knik Valley you can really get away from the noise and bustle of Anchorage and the towns in the Mat-Su Valley, yet still be just close enough. With only about 350 homes and no commercial buildings with bright streetlights along the 12 mile Knik Rive Rd, the skies are extremely dark and great for stargazing and watching the northern lights when they are out. Except of coarse when the midnight sun of the summer months takes over!
