Hello! Welcome to the Shady Rest, in the small town of Hot Springs MT. The hot springs are our main attraction, with plenty of other sites to see around the area. The Shady Rest is small, and cozy, a queen bed ,twin, a fold out couch in the living room. A back patio, with a BBQ , a firepit, and a fenced in yard. We like people's fury freinds, but please be considerate. We enjoy gardening, and hope you enjoy the garden too. Bathrobes and coffee are provided. Any questions, just ask, we hope you have a great stay!

It is small quiet house, small garden in the back with fruit trees. Two bedroom, we used the one off the TV room and the bed was perfect, perhaps best bed I've ever had in a rental. Place is pretty quaint, good value, about a 1.5 hours from Glacier NP. The little town has a couple inexpensive hot springs to enjoy. One cafe in town.

Check in was a breeze, the host lives in a separate house on the same property. The house is an adorable vintage home. The beds were comfy. Theres a 1940s(?) stove with a newer matching retro fridge. Theres a back deck with a grill and table to sit at and admire the beautiful yard while you drink your coffee

Nice private house

We stayed there while on a road trip. Very nice small house with everything you need. Host was very nice and recommended a hot spring to visit that was fun. Good value at the price and would stay here again.

Peaceful setting

Quiet neighborhood, simple but adequate accommodations. Pleasing landscaping. Excellent hosts. Easy access to hot spring resorts. No complaints. Enjoy the peace and quiet.

Peaceful and cozy

Small house is very comfortable and host is very accommodating. The house is well stocked with linens and kitchen equipment. Beds are very comfortable. Located on quiet street in a friendly walkable community.

The place was clean, the neighborhood was quite, and the owner refunded me 50 dollars because my girlfriend couldnt makd it out with me.

Very comfortable and adorable place. Nice robes for use after visiting hot springs. My GPS took me to wrong part of town… almost gave up finding it except friendly townspeople helped me locate it.

The Shady Rest

Excellent and affordable, clean and efficient. Tonna and John always there to help and the people in town are friendly. A great alternative to the $300 a night places in Kalispell if you don't mind the quiet and a little extra driving.

The perfect getaway

This was our third consecutive Memorial Day weekend at Shady Rest, and once again, it was absolutely wonderful. Tonna and her husband have created such a beautiful and peaceful property. They’re always so kind and respectful of our privacy, yet incredibly accommodating whenever we need anything.While we usually come for the nearby hot springs, this time we found ourselves spending most of our time right at Shady Rest. The fenced yard was perfect for our 2 small dogs, and the firepit made for some cozy, relaxing evenings. Every time we stay here, we leave feeling completely refreshed and recharged.We truly couldn’t ask for a better place to spend our time. Thank you again, Tonna. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Very nice, small 2br cottage in a small and low income town. A few places to eat, one new one - Louie=s - with excellent hamburgers (best I have had since 2013!). Very comfortable to just rest, sit and read. Electric stove has some issues, rug at front entrance is a problem (we decided to just remove it so it would not bunch up), but otherwise, very comfortable!

Shady Rest is a charming little house in the little town of Hot Springs, MT. It was the perfect place to relax, recharge, and spend 1 on 1 time with my adult daughter. The owners seem to have thought of everything that one might need. We truly appreciated walking into the cool house after a hot road trip. We also appreciated the pitcher of cold water and the ice cubes waiting for us in the fridge. The owners have a beautiful yard with several lovely flower gardens. We also saw several deer on the street closeby. It was so nice to be somewhere quiet and restful.

We loved our stay in Hot Springs!

The house is a cute, cozy little place that was perfect for our little family. Could use maybe a new sponge in The kitchen, and we were expecting a washer and dryer based on the property description (can see the hookups in the bathroom, so I'm sure they used to be there. Wasn't an issue though, as there is a Laundromat within walking distance (everything in town is within walking distance). The town has a handful of great mineral hot springs to soak in. The hosts provided lovely bathrobes and slippers to use for the baths, and plenty of extra towels. We hope to make it back to Montana again so we can stay here. Thanks Tonna!

Great place! Will definitely be back!

Hosts were absolutely amazing. We loved the location being so close to multiple hot springs and felt cozy like we were in a private cabin. We were very grateful for the accommodations. We had a fridge, kitchen, wood burning stove and TV while our son had his own room. The dog accommodations in particular were amazing. Our hosts had a completely fenced off area so we could just let our small dogs out without too much worry of them wandering off. Small tip though. On Sundays, the stores close early or are not open at all. You need to prep accordingly but we managed just fine. Would love to stay there again!
