About the host
Your host
Two years ago I moved from Byron Bay NSW Australia to a romantic, bucolic Manor in South West France. My main occupation and ,indeed passion is to restore this property to its original condition, fill it with love, antiques, Art, and wonderful creative people. I want it to be an inspiration for people to become more in touch with the old ways. A slower pace and a chance to live and create with Beauty.
Why they chose this property
I was looking for something original. So many beautiful French properties have been destroyed with cheap materials and bad DIY. After five years of searching, I drove down a long track...and there she stood. Her two enormous palm trees, waving at me in the breeze, her Juliette balconies beckoning me within and her soft Ochre colour re-assuring me that, although I was not in my home country, this old house would woo me with it's mystery. And so it has....although we have a long way to go. The cottages are beautiful. I miss the Aussie Spirit here. So welcome my should buddies always.
What makes this property unique
