About Kim Risolo
This house was built by my father in 1991 and when our family was not enjoying it ourselves we rented the entire house out as a vacation home. In 2013 we moved permanently to Puerto Morelos and are now running the house as a bed and breakfast.
Kim Risolo purchased this Villa in 1991
What makes this Villa unique
You can now enjoy the benefits of staying in a large 3,000 square foot Mexican Villa without the cost of renting the entire house. Because we live on site you always have someone available to answer any questions - where are the good restaurants, which ruins or cenotes should you go to and how do you get there, how and where do you exchange money, how do you make a phone call to the states, etc. Any question or concern you may have we can help you with. Also, because we are full time residents you will get to experience what it is really like to live in our little village. We regularly make purchases from the fruit trucks who come down the street everyday selling fruits and vegetables; Milki the local juice guy will stop in the morning on his scooter with his delicious fresh squeezed juices and Alberto will stop by a few times a week selling whatever sweet bread his mother has made that day, and we always hope it's the orange bread!!

Another super stay in Puerto Morelos
We’ve stayed here - at Kim’s - before and wanted to come back.
We like the proximity to Unico Beach, the neighborhood, breakfast and good coffee, a great network of local resources and connections and having bikes. It is very clean, the dogs are great and the pool is a bonus. The only drawback, which is not a reflection on the property at all, is nearby construction noise. We love Casa de Lis Suenos so it’s worth it to us.
Beautiful house, wonderful people
Kim and Jim are wonderful hosts and humans! We last minute rented the queen room (which is comfortable and airy). Kim was excellent at communicating and went above and beyond to make sure we were able to book last-minute and have our questions answered. The breakfast is delicious, the WiFi is great, the location is a pleasant walk to town (or a super short bike ride). The house is a block from the beach and some DELICIOUS ceviche at Unico beach club. This was our first time taking a vacation without our kids and Kim and Jim's felt like the perfect spot for us, I'm so glateful we stayed here!!
Thank you so much for the lovely review. It was very nice meeting both of you and I am glad we were able to host you for your last minute vacation. Please keep us in mind for a future get away as we would love to see you again.
I had the opportunity of staying in the Palapa room for 4 nights. The room was extremely awesome and was definitely private with a great view and my own private balcony. Kim was a great hostess and helped me with local travel arrangments, and recommendations for sightseeing. There will be no hesitation in staying again when in the area! Beautiful home and easy location! Jeff
Thank you so much for the lovely review. It was lovely to meet you and I hope you have the opportunity to visit us again.
Relaxing hidden treasure
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa de los Suentos. It was just our style.... comfy, relaxing and homey. The Palapa room had wonderful breezes and lots of light. Jimmy was the ultimate host providing us a wide assortment of choices, fresh coffee and fresh squeezed juices and we spent many enjoyable mornings chatting and of course being greeted by Guapo and Maggie which made it much more tolerable since our fur babies were left at home. Jimmy steered us to all the great places to eat, shop, lounge and swim which is pretty much all we did while absorbing the local culture and and friendliness of this beautiful town. It was definitely too short and we're already planning on a longer visit the next time! Thanks so much Jimmy (and Kim too!) We will definitely be back!
I apologize for the delay in responding to your lovely review. Thank you so much for your kind words and we are happy you had a good vacation. I am sorry I did not get to meet all of you since I was out of town but Jim loved hosting your group and we would love to have you visit us again in the future.
Like good friends
Our first time at a bed and breakfast, seemed strange to be staying at someone's house. Quickly morphed into our friends house. For us it was a wonderful fit. The breakfast spread every day was terrific! The personal interaction and suggestions for activities and food were greatly appreciated. I strongly suggest you follow any advice you get from Jim and Kim, they know what they're talking about!
Thank you for the lovely review. We do our best try and make sure all of our guests have a wonderful vacation. It was easy with you guys because you are all such lovely people. We hope to be able to have the pleasure of hosting all of you for a future vacation.
Puerto Morelos is living at it's best! Puerto Morelos has been joyfully missed by the big developers, so our town has stayed a delightful mix of Mexican and Mayan families, Americans and Canadians plus other nationalities that all want to experience the special life and energy that this noted spiritual vortex of the world offers. We have a great assortment of restaurants, gift shops, money exchanges, travel agents, liquor store, car rentals, water sport equipment rentals and boats for snorkeling or diving all here in town. If you want to go to Cancun or Playa del Carmen there are even more great restaurants and shopping to be had in both places. Playa del Carmen's pedestrian walk, Islands of Cozumel and Isle Mujeres, Xcaret, Xel-Ha, Tres Rios, Mayan ruins, Cenotes, are all within an easy drive of Puerto Morelos. The options are endless for a fabulous holiday!
