Nice funky place. It’s on a busy street and a little less pedestrian friendly than I was expecting. You can walk places but you are crossing rather big roads with lots a traffic. There’s some cafes nearby and a nice park within walking distance.
Met my brother from Washington State and my son who goes to the U. Last ski getaway of the season. great place lots of room, great location. 16" on Tuesday and 11" on Thursday were not all that bad either.
The house was great - plenty of space and the kitchen in the basement is a nice bonus. It's a convenient location near both cottonwood canyons and a great option for anyone visiting Salt Lake.
We had a great stay! The location allowed for quick access to all ski resorts and restaurants, the yard was great for our dog, parking was convenient, and it was comfortable for our family to spread out and for everyone to have their own space.
I wouldn’t call it a Bungalow. I would call it the Funky little house. It’s old SaltLake at its best. Rooms are small and bathroom upstairs is tiny. It worked good for us, but It definately has its quirks. It’s definately a house you can make work for a few days. Beyond that it could be a challenge. Lots of fighting on who is going to use the upstairs bathroom since it’s the only one upstairs. The stairs are steep going to basement for the other one. My son slipted and fell down the stairs and hit his head on the metal pipe at the end of the stairs. Just walk slowly down stairs and pay attention. This would definately not be a house for a handicapped or disabled person to rent. Getting around would be tough. We parked two cars in the driveway kinda had to because it was snowing and you couldn’t park on road because they were plowing. This blocked the sidewalk a little as I went out to warm up the car was approached by a man that cussed me out for being a foot on the sidewalk because the bumper of the car was too long. They say you can park on the side street but it’s a ways away and you really can’t if the weather is bad. I get it it’s an old neighborhood the lots are small, but it really does cause a few challenges. Just like the tiny bathroom upstairs. The best part about the experience was the guest. They were very nice easy to talk to & the house was ready on time and we even extended a day. Would I stay there again yes, but it would depend on who was coming with us.
This modest home was a terrific space for 6 adults and a dog to enjoy a family get-together. Four bedrooms, a lot of seating area so we could be together or takea

This was a perfect place for our family to stay while attending a wedding. Lots of space for kids and grandparents to spread out. Fun an eclectic house.
The Funky Bungalow was just as advertised. Roomy inside and a wonderful outdoor space. Our host was gracious and quick to respond.
We highly recommend it
The group of us were in town for a convention and needed a place to stay that was close to downtown. At first glance from the outside, we were wondering if we were in the right place. From the outside, the house is unassuming with a yard that was a bit unkept, When you walk through the front door, it is like stepping into another world. Whoever renovated this house has a very clever imagination. There is a new surprise around every corner, especially in the basement. As a side note, the water filters in both of the refrigerators were greatly appreciated and we used them daily.
My adult family rented this house while in SLC for a wedding in June. It was on a busy street in the Sugar House area but we really didn’t hear the traffic at all. The property was perfect for our purposes, including getting to wedding events at Utah U and downtown, getting out to hike in Little and Big Cottonwood Canyons, and visiting local family. Sugar House Park and shopping district were just a short walk away, and the Macey’s grocery store was close by in the opposite direction. Just a couple blocks up the street, The Hive Local Market had good coffee and a selection of baked goods and prepared foods.
The house itself was quirky but really comfortable, with four big bedrooms, two full baths, a spacious open kitchen, dining and living room area upstairs and another kitchen and lounging area on the lower floor. The upstairs, kitchen was well-equipped, there were lots of boardgames, plenty of clean towels and bedding, an iron and mini-ironing board, lots of closet space, good lighting, and two large TVs. We didn’t spend time outdoors on the property, but there was a big back patio area with lots of room to relax.
The only thing that was a little on the negative side was the condition of the outside areas. It looked like a lot of effort had been spent making the indoors fun and comfortable - a little TLC on the yard and back patio areas would make the whole package pretty perfect, especially for a larger group.
Thank you to Kirk. We enjoyed having our family together to celebrate graduation. Being walking distance to each other was fabulous. We all had a great weekend and appreciated the house use.
The house is very well situated in the east part of SLC; also the neighborhood is nice and offers all you need. Everything is clean and well maintained, and the beds are super comfortable. We also liked that we could bring our dog (who very much enjoyed the dog door to the backyard).
