owner created anxiety to my family.
The contract was till the 3rd of August. Then on the 30 of July at 5 PM we were approached by the owner's father that we had to leave because they had other people coming at 7PM. We had seen each other at 11:30 the same morning nothing was said. He told us that they reserved another place for us to stay but omitted to say that WE were going to pay again! I did not argue and thought I was helping them. We got to the other place and were told that we had to pay to stay there 120 EURO per night. Under the circumstance I paid. When I contacted the owner he said that what I had paid to VRBO was not sufficient to pay for the usage of the kitchen etc. I told him that the contract included the usage of the kitchen and furthermore we only used once to boil 12 eggs because we only used the apartment to sleep. My grandchildren and their mother were upset. We got help in finding lodging in Trani at a reasonable price. Eventually through the portal I told him that I was in touch with VRBO to get 50% back of what VRBO had charged me on my VISA card. Several time I told him if they had told me that I had to pay I would not have left his apartment but he has no common sense, eventually I explained to him that if he had an issue it should be directed to VRBO not me. It cost me an extra 420 Euro to pay for 4 nights elsewhere. They abused my good wish of wanting to help them. Not fair! I have no idea if I am getting that money back. Needless to say that this episode kind of spoiled our visit.
