Flex spaces, a game room & a Zen living room atmosphere make it unique. The game room's roll-up door opens to the backyard, creating an indoor/outdoor space for parties, relaxation, or hosting events for up to 40 people. Right next to Roloff farms & Helvetia Tavern. The house was clean. It is quiet and out in the farmland. It was nice that we were allowed to have a small party. The host was responsive when we were at the house. He sent people to help with small issues. It was big enough for most of our family to be together and we had fun.

House review…The home is in a good location and is spacious for our family reunion of 8. however I would NOT recommend it. There were not enough towels, utensils and coffee cups. The rugs were stained, the freezer door broken, Teflon pots all scratched, pillows stained and dead bugs on the floors. The outside area was overgrown and looked nothing like the VRBO pictures. There were dried coffee rings on the counter and salt on the stove, indicating the counters were not cleaned before our arrival. I have stayed in many VRBO rentals which were in good / excellent condition however I consider this to be poor.

Awesome property!

We rented the place for a bachelor weekend getaway and we all had a great time! The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for cooking and serving multiple people and there was plenty of towels and bed sheets/blankets. Whole place was very clean and we loved the views and fireplaces. Not too far from stuff either, grocery store was close by.

2 out of 5 starsUnfortunately, our stay was very disappointing, especially given that we were there immediately after our wedding. Upon arrival, there were no bath towels, washcloths, or hand towels, and there was no soap. We had to contact the host to request these basic necessities. We specifically asked that the towels be brought by 8:00 AM the following morning.The host called me once in the morning, and because I missed the call, he decided to enter the property without being invited or announcing himself. He walked all the way downstairs into our living space rather than simply leaving the towels on the porch and notifying us. We found this to be a serious violation of our privacy and a complete disregard for our personal space and safety.There were also no trash bags provided.The following morning, landscaping began at 7:30 AM on Saturday, was so loud, and continued for approximately six hours. We eventually had to message the host and ask that the work stop. The landscapers themselves told us they knew landscaping was not supposed to be done on Saturdays because guests are frequently staying at the property, but indicated that the host simply does not care.Basic amenities, respect for guest privacy, and consideration for guests' ability to enjoy their stay should be minimum expectations for a VRBO. Unfortunately, those expectations were not met during our visit.The house was also not properly cleaned. This is nowhere near worth 700 per night.

Gorgeous country retreat, close to town/amenities

Rented this property for my husband's 50th birthday. We are local, but invited guests from out of town to stay. This is a rare property that allows small events and it was perfect for entertaining. The house is spacious for everyone to hang out and enjoy. The property is gorgeous and would be especially nice in the warmer weather to enjoy the outdoors. Walking distance to Helvetia Tavern for good food/drinks and great service. We had an amazing stay.

An experience I wish nobody else goes through. Although we were only in the home for an hour and thank goodness the whole family wasn’t to arrive till the following day, we found the home absolutely unacceptable in every way!!!!It was in such bad condition it should not be rentable till there is some major repairs done and deep cleaning done!! With that being said the owner/host had no argument and was willing to refund our stay. Unfortunately we had to find a hotel late that night, and figure out where our whole family was going to stay for our trip to Oregon. It saddens me to have to write such a bad review, but I don’t want others to waste there hard earned money and rent this place!!!

We stood at the front door for over 30 minutes trying to get in. After calling VRBO the door was opened remotely and then the owner came with a new door code. Inside there was no window covering in the master bedroom, really? The handle was missing on the freezer to the fridge. You had to remove the toilet lid to flush, I could go on. But for as much as we paid, the expectation was the property would be in top shape, it was not. I would not recommend.

Wonderful group stay and event space!

A group of friends and family stayed at this rental for 4 nights and we hosted even more friends and family for an outdoor party on the Saturday of our stay. This space was wonderful for both gathering with a group to stay and for hosting an event. It is HUGE - there is so much space. We had plenty of bathroom space for both guests staying at the house and for our event of about 50 people. The yard and grounds are stunning and the views in the back yard looking out over farm land are lovely. We'd love to stay here again, and I'd highly recommend it both as a large rental space and as an event space.

Meeting New Granddaughter

We were there to meet our Son's baby daughter and visit with family. The property grounds and location were beautiful, but sadly the house lacked in cleanliness and coziness. Some of the furnishings were different than the ones pictured online, and basically just cold and not very inviting. Although the owner/manager replied quickly to any of my questions.

Great location, Great home~

This was a Gal Pal getaway - we are from Texas. We spent the first two days at the beach but needed to be closer to Savoie Island for an event we were attending. We could not have picked a better house! We call it the Farmhouse and there were 4 of us - we each had our own room. There are 4 bathrooms in the house. Although many of the amenities were probably used by the previous tenant, it was incredible. The beds were so comfortable and sitting on the outdoor swings a treat. I highly recommend this house if you want to take day trips into Portland and the waterfalls. The Tavern in walking distance is also worth a visit - a beer, burger, friendly staff.

Beautiful contemporary home for celebrating!

We celebrated our daughters high school graduation. As grandparents and extended family were coming in to town, was easier to rent a space than get hotels. We had 8-10 people stay Fri-Mon - there was plenty of room and bathrooms! The house has all the amenities we needed. The basement space was great for entertaining and the yard had space to set up three large tables. There is a fun bonus room that opens a glass garage door and ping pong. Upstairs was quiet even when there were kids playing ping pong downstairs. Just a quick walk to Helvetia Tavern for drinks and burgers. Owner was responsive and easy to work with. We loved this property and had a great time!!

Great hangout for a large group

We had an absolutely wonderful time during our weekend stay. We chose this primarily because of its proximity to Eagles Nest Reserve which was the venue for the wedding we were attending. Property is walking distance from Helvetia Tavern and Roloff Farms. It is a few short miles to grocery stores and other amenities. The home itself has numerous bedrooms. The carpet is quite stained but the owner is aware. Our kids had a blast with the lounge area downstairs along with the board games, ping-pong table and foosball table. The listing shows an air hockey table, but that wasn’t there. The playground outside is a little rundown so be cautious about using that. I wish we would’ve had more time to actually hang out at the property more and maybe have a fire in the firepit out back. Maybe next time…

Cold Weekend

The house and location were great but we couldn't get the heat working to warm the house. It was 46 degrees when we got there and we couldn't get it any higher than 55 degrees the whole stay. We burned wood in the fireplace to try and get it warmer but that didn't work. The kitchen and refrigerator were very dirty when we arrived and there was a dirty cast iron pan in the oven. The Air Hockey table did not work and there were no paddles for the Ping Pong table.

Awesome Home

Home is located on a nice location. We all loved our stay at home. No issues on finding the property or check-in. House was clean and had sufficient rooms for our group to stay. Good number of board games were available for kids to have lot of fun time. Adults had good time playing table tennis, it also had paddles and balls to play. Few issues we had are, the air hockey table which kids love didn't work, but we figured out what was the issue and fixed it, so kids loved very much. Very few utensils were available on kitchen, we generally find good number of utensils at rental homes but this does not. We couldn't find kettle even to boil water, and property manager let us know that, there are no blender so went prepared for that. If they could add few more utensils, will be good. One bedroom which was at basement didn't get hot air, and family who stayed there couldn't stay all night on the room due to temperature dropping to 63, so we had to adjust on bedrooms on main floor. All in all, this house is very good to stay with just some minor issues we found. If they could fix those, we will definitely come here again. Thank you!

The exterior of this home is beautiful with lovely country views, but the inside does not match the listing. Several advertised amenities—like the gym equipment and air hockey table—are missing. The house shows significant wear and tear, likely from large events, and you’re met with a note telling you to report all existing damage within two hours of check-in. Given the size of the home and the amount of wear, this creates immediate uneasiness.We also saw very large spiders daily, coming from multiple corners. The fridge has an overwhelming vinegar smell, the freezer handle is broken with a handwritten note explaining how to open it, and the washer and dryer are extremely outdated, with another note allowing only cold loads. The master bathroom toilet is broken as well, with taped-on instructions for how to flip it.The downstairs feels cold and uninviting, and the carpets are very dirty. There are no outdoor spotlights, so the property is pitch dark at night. The trash bins provided aren’t city bins and have no wheels, meaning you’re expected to carry them down a long driveway.Although the home is spacious and could work for large gatherings, the interior is plain and would benefit from updated décor. Kitchen utensils are mislabeled and poorly stocked. There is also a camera in the living room and flashing sensors in each room, which feels uncomfortable. Spider webs are visible on lighting fixtures throughout the house. Overall, I couldn’t wait to leave.

Staying here was an absolute nightmare. We arrived at 7pm and tried the google doorbell as instructed, no response. I called the host multiple times and it went to voicemail each time. I contacted customer service and was just about to cancel the reservation when a man called to say he could let us in. We finally made it inside at 10pm. The house was filthy, the man tidied up before he left, but he shouldn't have had to. He told us that the host was out of the country and couldn't respond as a result. Only two bathrooms had toilet paper, one roll was getting low. He told us more toilet paper would be delivered first thing in the morning but it never was. At 11pm we noticed the things in the fridge weren't cold, and we were concerned. We checked at 1am everything was room temp despite it being set to 33 so over 40 worth of food was ruined. By morning however, it was perfectly chilled. If we never noticed it was warm, we would've been unaware that it was unsafe to eat. One of my friends rooms was 80f, despite it being in the high 60s outside. The man who came back to look at the fridge and ac, and I expressed that I wanted to ask the host for a refund and reimbursement and I would be finding another place to stay, after contacting customer service and getting no help. He talked to the host who apparently agreed but I'm yet to hear anything else. This was supposed to be a relaxing trip with friends to celebrate graduating college, but it was a big headache.
