I am extremely displeased with this host, Mateo Villegas, with the company Hotel Suite Mexico City. 2 days before I departed on my trip, my host contacted me saying they had double-booked this rental unit on two different websites and would be moving me to a different rental unit several kilometers away. I said this is unacceptable! I booked this rental because it was right nearby my friends. The host said for my troubles, he would give me $2000 Mexican (about $100 US) on arrival for Ubers and Taxis. I said no, this still isn’t acceptable. The host then said they would compensate me for 2 nights of lodging in addition to the $2000 Mexican cash upon arrival. There was nowhere else to book by this time, and my flighty was about to leave, so I accepted the deal. The host never followed through with what he promised me. The host is a liar and a cheater. I would not trust him. The host put me in another rental unit several kilometers away but despite my attempts to meet, they never delivered the $2000 Mexican as promised nor refunded me for 2 nights of lodging. Basically, they changed my rental at the last minute, had me by the throat since nothing else was available, promised me refunds to make up for it, and never attempted to meet me to pay those refunds.
