At Sweet Retreat, it’s all about location! This spacious four-bedroom, three-bathroom condo is just steps from the Gulf of Mexico and a short walk to all that downtown Port A has to offer. Located in Gulfside Beach Condos, guests of Sweet Retreat have access to the community pool and outdoor lounge area.

This spacious and well-decorated home sleeps 10 guests, has a full kitchen and features two living areas--one downstairs and an upstairs loft-style living room for entertainment! There is a covered patio for barbecuing your fresh catch and a second-floor balcony to enjoy gorgeous Texas sunsets!

When you enter the home, you're greeted by a large living and dining area with flat-screen TV. Beyond the dining room is the kitchen with stainless steel appliances and plenty of storage.

The downstairs includes a spacious primary bedroom with a flat-screen TV, sitting area and private bathroom. Upstairs, you'll find a second living area with a flat-screen TV and a futon to relax on. On this floor, you will also find three bedrooms, each with its own TV. Two bedrooms have queen-size beds and another has a full-size bed. Two of the bedrooms have access to the balcony. There are two full bathrooms with walk-in showers on this level.

There is reserved parking for two vehicles. Additional vehicles may park in the guest parking area, but be advised that parking is limited during peak seasons. Parking Passes are provided at check-in. Sweet Retreat is a non-smoking property. No smoking of any kind is allowed in or around the buildings. Additional amenities include Wi-Fi, towels and linens, washer and dryer, Silver Sands concierge service. Silver Sands golf carts are available to rent.

Very comfortable for our large group

This has a great set up for a large group. Not onlly are there 4 bedrooms, but the addition of the extra living area in the upstairs loft area that has a futon and a couch made it possible for everyone to have a comfortable place to sleep. It is also a wonderful addition to have the washer and dryer; we were able to keep up with keeping the bath towels and beach towels clean each day. Having the golf cart as part of the package was very helpful. Also, that each room had a television and access to the full Spectrum lineup was a big plus when relaxing at home! We will absolutely consider this condo again the next time we plan to visit Port A.

The place was clean. It is in a great location with easy beach access. It would have been better if all the bedroom televisions worked. Only 2 of the 4 did. The toilet in the one of bathrooms upstairs was very loose and the seat was broken. The golf cart needed maintenance. It had strong gas fumes for the passengers in the back,and it didn't run well.

Tiny space - Bring your own stuff

Let me start by saying this unit was very clean - which is the biggest deal for me. However - the space was very small for 4 couples. Not much room to hang out. Small table. The swimming pool is tiny. I never even got in it - which never happens for me on vacation. I only saw kids in it one night and that was it. One of the bedrooms had a TV that did not work. Two of the bedrooms did not have working ceiling light. There was only 1 dish towel provided and 1 trash bag, and also only 1 roll of paper towels. There is no blender FYI!!! There is a crockpot and other casserole dishes. But no blender. Bottom line - Would I stay here again? No. Even if I had fewer people with me I would still not stay at this condo.

The set up on their house was very nice the golf cart was very helpful we found a drug pipe in one of the rooms with food and snacks it had not been clean the towels had a very Mildew smell so I wash them all other than that the location was great our family had a wonderful vacation with a lot of new memories

Good beach access

Being located on the beach access road is great for hitting the beach. This condo is in a tight string of units, so daylight is minimal. It has been updated and fit our family of 6 well. A bunk bed room would make it better for families.

The condo was not as advertised. There was no grill, the rooms were tiny. They had a nest thermostat that sometimes worked and sometimes didn't. It was hot in there. The community pool was not very clean and also very small. It was too small for the entire condo to share. They did provide us with a golf cart that did run….on occasion. The condo was a disappointment from the minute we walked in the door.

The home was nice but very disappointed in Silver Sands. We arrived with multiple issues with the property and golf cart that were immediately reported and were not addressed during the duration of the stay. Also, the advertisement for this property is misleading, for clarification, there is no bbq grill on the property. I will not be renting through silver sands or recommending them going forward because of this stay. We paid too much money to be disregarded. We also had invited another family with us and it was their first time to the Gulf and I was embarrassed by these issues and the fact they were not addressed.
