We had a wonderful trip to Alaska. Property manager Joy was so very helpful. The facility was neat and clean. The view was spectacular, the fishing fantastic. This is a very beautiful piece of property. We hope to be able to come back sometime.
The cabin was clean and comfortable, and Joy was great with communication. We liked being in Sterling as it is centrally located on the peninsula. This is helpful if you plan to visit different areas, as it makes the commute(s) more doable.
First of all, the pictures do not do this property justice!!!
When you see the river, game preserve and mountains all in one frame it is absolutely spectacular!!! My girlfriend and I spent every evening in front of the fire pit just enjoying the view that looked like a beautiful, breath taking painting.
Secondly, Joy and Tom were amazing! Communication was quick and often, then the recommendations they gave us were all spot on especially recommending D&G Charters who were amazing but more about them on their website. Joy and Tom treated us like old friends and were willing to help or give recommendations on anything and everything.
Our neighbors Mike and Shirley were wonderful as well. They would even come get us when there were moose, bears or any other interesting wildlife that came by!!!
The cabins are conveniently located in Sterling close to shopping, super markets (the employees at Fred Meyers were awesome!), fish processing (Jolly Wallys) and anything else you might need.
This review is over 1000 characters and I am still not giving Joy and Tom and the cabin justice. I will say we enjoyed it so much we are going back in September of 2025!!!
Just a wonderful stay. The view was great. The cabin was large enough to fit five grown men. And Joy and Tom were great hosts! Perfectly situated between Homer and Seward.
