About this property
Huge Ski in Out Condo 4 Bdrm +Loft - Views! BBQ in Summer
Beautiful 2-story, 2000 sq. ft. 4 bedroom 3 bath condominium with beautiful view of Crested Butte valley, ski-in/ski-out, at the Crested Butte resort. New carpeting throughout just installed, with marble counter tops in kitchen and bathrooms, light and airy design. New living room sectional ! Internet just updated. The main floor has 3 bedrooms: a living room, dining area, kitchen and 2 full bathrooms with jetted tubs. Upstairs is another bedroom , living area and bathroom - like a mini condo to itself. There are in total 2 huge king beds and 2 queen beds, and 1 queen pullout, in the second king bedroom downstairs. Downstairs is a king suite, a king bed with queen pullout, a queen bedroom: upstairs is a loft with a full bathroom and a separate bedroom with a queen bed, and a large living area with a desk to work. Every room is 2 stories high, as the rooms go up into the gabled roof of the building. Look up and you'll see the beautiful wood beams in every room. You walk into the condo(no stairs.) However there are 12 stairs from parking to the building. no stairs once inside, except if you are using the bedroom upstairs. It is the topmost unit (no footsteps overhead), but is entered as though on the ground floor as the condo is on a hillside. Store your skis in a nook just inside the front door. It is truly ski-in/out and has a beautiful view of the valley. There's a foosball table in the loft, great wifi. In summertime there are grills just outside. Large fully stocked kitchen, real fireplace with tons of wood for free just downstairs (don’t forget to open the flue! Bring Firestarter!) We have a large hot tub down 2 flights of stairs in a huge cedar lined room to the right. Sign up for it outside the hot tub door in the morning and it is ALL yours in the evening. There is also a sauna. We do have a free shuttle in the winter – 2 of them. If you are tired or want to go to town just call them. The office will send them to you during office hours, but it is best to get their phone number so you can use them after hours. This is a wonderful door to door service. They run from 8 am to midnight. There are 4 tv's. two are hooked to directv - the large one in the master bedroom and the hune one in the living room. In the queen bedroom downstairs there is another that is has a dvd player. Upstairs there is one that is hooked to game controls.
Parking: Two spaces of free parking are automatic. It isn't hard to get another space but tell me in advance.
There is a chair lift to ski to from the condo, so little ones will have no trouble. If they are never evers, call the shuttle! The run down to the condo at the end of the day from the top of the mountain is the prettiest on the hill, with almost 360 degree views of the whole valley (called “oh be joyful”). The best sledding hill in Crested Butte is right next door . Although for little ones it is best to go to the Nordic Center – it is free. In Fall, especially September 15-October 15 the leaves on the Aspens are a riot of color. Fishing, golfing, biking, and hiking beckon everywhere. For mountain bikers, the Upper Loop starts a few feet away.
There is so much space around this building you will feel like you are in a cabin. There is no building above you or on either side. Summer, Fall and Winter: In winter, completely ski-in/ski-out. The ski school is right next door, as are two lifts, Peachtree and Westwall. You could literally ski into the condo at the end of the day if you could ski on wood. In summer take the lift to the top and hike or mountain bike down! The fishing is great, and river rafting/canoeing is a must. Try Crested Butte in summer! Local Area: Enjoy skiing, mountain biking (the center of mountain biking in Colorado), wildflower viewing tours (plus festival!), hiking, fishing, mountain climbing (awesome!), sledding, cross-country skiing, kayaking in rivers (also awesome), tennis (courts are in the town for the community - the balls Fly! because of the altitude), golfing, river canoeing, ballooning, river floating while fishing (a must), snowmobiling, rafting, horseback riding, dogsledding, camping, backpacking, shopping, and really, really fine dining. Crested Butte is a wonderful recreational mountain town, a half hour out of Gunnison. It has a western feel, yet is very sophisticated. It is in a beautiful, untouched area of Colorado - a welcome break from the crowded resorts like Aspen or Vail. The ski trails are awesome, the whole beauty of this place will carry you away. Hot Tub and Shuttles are only in the winter. Ski accessibility: It is ski in and out if you are an intermediate or even beginner intermediate skiier! not a rank beginner. You ski down to the lifts and then when you come home it is on the right side of the mountain - you ski right in. If you are a beginner call the free shuttle! it runs 8 a.m. to midnight and will pick you up at the door of the condo and deliver you to the base, and reverse the process when you are done! it is awesome. By the way the free shuttle will take you anywhere in crested butte. and... bring you back!
We are also providing socially distant check-in by leaving arrival packets taped to the office door, so guests do not have to enter the office. We also hold one day between rentals.

Why they chose this property
We kept dragging our children around to different ski resorts when they were little. It was kind of hard to constantly find the ski school, rent the gear, etc. When everyone began wanting to go back to Crested Butte year after year, we finally decided to buy a place, and stop roaming. Every year I am involved up there, summer, fall or winter, the experience just keeps getting better. You know more about how and where to have fun!
What makes this property unique
hmmm. ski in and out, views, private shuttle in the winter! (the best thing in the world) and huge hot tub! and real fireplace with lots of wood for free! And 2 tv's with cable.
