Not as Advertised, issues never resolved.

Original assigned unit not cleaned - was moved to another unit. Trash not picked up for weeks Smoke detector in kitchen not hooked up - never fixed Dirty/clogged air conditioner filter - had to remove it. Never fixed. Affected air conditioning. No light in steep outside stairs (safety issue) - never fixed No table for dining - just island seating with backless stools that are too high for the counter and that does not accommodate 4 adults. Advertised dining area for 4. No table space - Had to buy a TV table to have a workspace for my computer No TVs in bedrooms - only 1 TV that broke after the 1st week. No TV for 7 days despite repeated contact from me and VRBO. Would promise to replace and didn’t. Would not respond to messages. After 7 days (and VRBO involvement) replaced with a TV from the downstairs unit. Fan in the 2nd bedroom didn’t work - never fixed and my guest had trouble sleeping. No carbon monoxide detectors as advertised Not enough towels and supplied towels were thin and some were stained. Bought extra towels. Windows and baseboards not clean Not enough cookware. Had to buy a large frying pan (only 2 small pans) Had to buy extra mixing bowls. Shower had nowhere to put shampoo, No safety bars. Outside not well kept. Firepit was stones on sand. Advertised with a hot tub - none Updated areas, appliances were nice. The host eventually offered a partial credit, but has not responded to my numerous emails regarding arrangements for this.

Horrible communication and late cancelation!!

Unfortunately we never got to experience our stay as it was canceled on us at the LAST minute! I had reached out to the owner several times during the weeks leading up to our stay via email and phone with no response. I finally was able to reach someone an hour before our check in time of 3:00pm who ensured me that they were just waiting for the cleaners to finish. A short time later I received an email (not a phone call) notifying me they had to cancel our reservation. While I did receive a full refund the lack of communication and timing was horrible. Since we were flying in from out of state the extremely late cancellation during a very busy travel time resulted in having to cancel our entire vacation!

What makes this property unique

Please remember this is FLORIDA. Humidity and hot weather is not unusual. We ask our guests to not lower the AC more than 70 degrees as it can cause the AC to freeze and stop working. Only creating an uncomfortable stay.

also, please remember this is Florida and with with Florida’s beautiful weather, it is not unusual for a small insect to sneak into the home. This home is professionally cleaned between each and every guest and professionally sprayed once a month. If you ever do encounter a situation of this kind please bring it to our attention immediately and we will have it resolved. To avoid this please keep all windows and doors shut as needed and all trash and food away and stored properly.
