The home is within walking distance to the UVA Hospital and the Downtown Mall, but UVA’s campus is large and spread out, so distances vary depending on where you are going. As both I and the VRBO representative explained during your refund request, hosts do not know which exact building or event location a guest plans to visit unless they ask. We always encourage guests to reach out before booking if they need clarification on distance to a specific event or venue. I appreciate you noting that the home was clean and comfortable. This helps future guests understand that the property itself met your needs, and that the concern was related to the distance to your event rather than the home or its condition.
