We have visited PV many times and wanted to stay near the beach and the Sapphire Beach Club, which is our favourite. One Beach Street seemed perfect. The photos were attractive.
Unfortunately, there was no indication that we would be occupying a room on the street level. It was noisy, and a taxi seemed to be parked right in front of our balcony the whole ten days of our stay.
The room and bedding smelled damp. The sofa was so dirty and old that we had to put a blanket over it to sit on.
There were missing lightbulbs and some outlets didn't work. Neither did the television. The furniture was very old and of very poor quality. The bathroom was clean, but the shower had very low water pressure.
We understood that this wasn't a 5-star unit, but there are standards that should be met regardless of price.
