The Rivers Edge is a luxury listing located in the Peaks Subdivision. This property is a favorite for all seasons. A riverside mountain ski home offering five bedrooms and three levels of living space. Enjoy cozying up to the gas fireplace in the living area or a soak in the hot tub after a long day on the slopes, hiking or golf. Enjoy beautiful views of the river and mountains from the firepit while roasting marshmallows or enjoying a night cap. In the great room, cathedral ceilings provide expansive windows to appreciate the great mountain and river views as well. Just minutes to Sunday River ski and golf resort, hiking and walking trails for all levels, fishing, biking, river floats and more. Wake up to the sounds of the river and views of the mountain from the master suite. On the top level there are two additional bedrooms, one queen and one queen over queen bunk. In the lower level you will find the game room with shuffle board, foos ball and poker table. The lower level is also home to an additional king bedroom as well as the bunk room featuring XL bunks to accommodate adults comfortably. Guests will be staying in a subdivision with paved roads and a paved driveway leading into the 2 car garage at this great rental - no cleaning the car off in the morning before hitting the slopes! Now features an on-demand generator so you never lose power. The damage waiver fee of $150.00 is a non-refundable payment- which covers accidental damage up to the amount of $1500.00. This fee is pressed in the overall costs of the rental at the time of booking. Remember we are in the mountains of Maine and the snow we hope for all year can make travel more difficult. We recommend all or 4 wheel drive in the winter season. The roads and driveway are professionally maintained but guests may find travel difficult without it.

If you cancel more than 30 days before arrival: You’ll receive a refund of your deposit, minus a $50 processing fee.
If you cancel within 30 days of arrival: You’ll be refunded for any portion of your stay that is rebooked by another guest.

Amazing property.

This is the second time I’ve stayed at this house. It is fabulous for our skiing group. The house and the hot tub are immaculate and access to property management, and the owners was immediate with answers to any questions that we had.

Exceeded expectations!

We enjoyed an exceptional stay at this home in January 2025 for our group of 10. The house was extremely well provisioned, was very spacious yet felt very cozy and a nice short drive to Sunday River and downtown Bethel. We highly recommend and hope to return for a summer visit to enjoy everything the warmer months have to offer!

Christmas week in Our Happy Place

Our stay was fantastic!! Communication with Julia, the property manager was fantastic! The house is so close to the Mountain and nearby restaurants. It has a great view of the mountain and river from the living room and back deck. This is also quite possibly the most well stocked vacation house we have ever stayed at!!! We would definitely stay again!!

Excellent summer getaway

Extremely clean and well-maintained property. Spent a long weekend here with extended family. Multiple different ages. The weather in the summer was gorgeous and it was a great location for hiking, watering holes, and attending a small town festival. There is access to Sunday River in the backyard, which was very clean and swimmable/walkable. I would definitely stay at this property again.

Multigenerational Getaway

This house satisfied all of our needs! The kitchen was well-stocked, plenty of space for family meals and game nights, bedrooms were accurately depicted and comfortable. We had a great time exploring the river, sitting by the fire, and evenings in the hot tub (very clean!!). This property feels private though you can hear neighbors during the day. The community offered what we wanted from hiking & river tubing to breweries & live music.

What a great experience we had spending a week at the list lovely place! The house is exactly as described, with everything you could need. Also enjoyed the area despite the fact that some places are not operating because of COVID. Awesome mountain biking (especially at Mt. Abram) for the adults and all of our kids (ages 4-13). We explored lots of other natural gems and only wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks for a great vacation!

Gorgeous home and wonderful experience.

Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home. Everything was beyond expectation from the amazing views of the mountain and river to the well stocked kitchen and spacious living areas. Extremely clean, and so nice to have all the necessities supplied like paper towels, dish machine soap, dish soap, liquid hand soap in every bathroom, shampoo,tissues, trash bags, plenty of towels and even beach towels for the amazing hot tub. My 4 year old grandson loved the game room and we spent hours of fun there. It was so nice that it was such a close drive to the mountain. It was so nice to have a level, flat driveway ( not a steep hill to go up) and garage to park the cars in. I highly recommend this amazing home and we will definitely return in the future!

Excellent Stay

My family enjoyed our stay so much. The house is clean, large enough for a big group of us, located near Screw Auger Falls, cute towns, good spots to eat-- which were all uncrowded since it's off season. The kitchen is so well stocked, the basement game room gave us hours of fun, the beds were comfy, and basically everything we needed was provided. They had towels, linens, s'mores ingredients, fire woood- everything! The kids enjoyed the river and there's a great swimming hole right around the bend next to the bridge. Bring floats to ride the current! (The water was low enough to be safe the first half of the week but then a dam was opened upstream and the river was rushing wildly and would not have been safe for young children.) We had only one little issue-- the bunk bed room in the basement was hot and stuffy since there is no air conditioner in there. Otherwise, for the first time in multiple years of renting summer houses, my family had barely any complaints at all! It was such a lovely trip!

The house looks brand new, inside and out. This home was clean, bright, spacious, and very well stocked from the kitchen to the bathrooms with just about anything you could need and more than we expected. The homeowner provided everything from shampoo, conditioner, hand cream, Q Tips, and even bug spray (which is much needed, I might add). They had board games, books, the two games shown in the pictures, tons of firewood for the outdoor fire pit, as well as a couple of kayaks in the garage. We all enjoyed walking up and down the shallow river running behind the home. The house itself is positively worth five stars, but I only gave it four stars because we had trouble trying to watch TV throughout the house. Obviously it was a signal/reception issue as the picture came on and off throughout our stay. I would rent this beautiful home again in a heartbeat and would advise anyone else to do the same.

The bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect, the game room provided lots of space and activities, the living room was amazingly beautiful, and the open concept allowed for everyone to be together for meals and games very comfortably. You can tell that the owners have gone out of their way to make this an amazing place. This was the first time our group stayed at a place with a hot tub and we can never go back...after a long day of skiing at Sunday River (a couple of minutes down the road), the hot tub was a great way to relax before evening activities. We were also very amazed at the views of Sunday River behind the home, I caught myself being mesmerized a few times, just staring at the beautiful scenery of the mountain and the river. We definitely look forward to staying again in the future! I'd also like to shoutout whoever is responsible for maintaining/cleaning the home, everything was super clean, well stocked, and all the technology was easy to use. I'd also like to thank the folks managing the property as they were very responsive and great to work with!

Perfect river home

A beautiful and clean home on the river. Extremely well stocked kitchen and complimentary shampoos and soaps in each bathroom. My family and I enjoyed the spacious porch overlooking the river. My husband and I brought our adult kids and neohews (21-31) They loved the downstairs game room and we had to pry them out of the hottub.We would recommend this home to any family or group garhering!

It has a big mudroom with lots of cubbies and hooks, ski hangers and even has boot warmers! The kitchen is well appointed with an island and nearby dining table - loved the lazy Susan. There are lots of comfortable bedroom options, gas fireplace, hot tub and cozy atmosphere. It really checked all of the boxes for a top notch ski rental. Our group is already taking about renting again next year.

Awesome Feb vacation skiing

This house was fantastic! We are two families (total 9 people) spanning three generations. Everyone had a ball. Nana, parents and teens/tweens. Lots of space to find your own nook or to find the social gathering. Beds were comfy and the kitchen was the best equipped kitchen for cooks that we have EVER seen in a rental. Property manager was amazing and so responsive. We’ll be back!!!
