Unwind in our 1 bedroom guest suite located in a lush 1 acre property nestled on a private road hilltop. Enjoy beautiful mountain views under a shady 200 year old Fig tree or the fire pit area. Mingle with the chickens in their own large coup or swing under the fig tree. Drive 25 min to the beach, 10 min to the Wild animal park, 1.3 miles to Trader Joe’s grocery store or simply enjoy a 1 mile walk around the neighborhood loop. Escondido Girls Trip

We had a wonderful few days here catching up on family news. The only downsize was having the door open directly into the bedroom because of the babies nap times. Would recommend this to anyone wanting a place close to the Safari Park. Loved the fresh eggs!!

Perfect little escape

As soon as my husband and I arrived here I was transported to memories of vacations in Europe. This is the perfect little apartment to get away from it all, with beautiful views and surroundings - you really could be anywhere. Phil was very communicative and even made sure we could check in early which was very appreciated. Our request for fresh towels was met with total understanding and swift action. The entire stay was comfortable, relaxing and honestly one of our best rental choices. We were made to feel very welcome for the get go with a lovely personalized message and a variety of snacks and hot drinks laid out, on arrival. Seeing the chickens every morning was a personal highlight - they are very chatty. We didn’t get to make the most of the amenities like the patio and bbq etc but we will be back for sure! Thank you!

Little Slice of Heaven

Very welcoming feeling from the host before walking into a room with a view. The feeling of stepping back in time was refreshing and renewing. Falling into that bed every night, was 30 days of much needed rest. I slept so good, it must’ve been the peace and quiet. I can’t say enough about that bed and I’m already looking forward to it the next time I come. The house is a perfect set up, it’s away from the maddening crowd, beautiful and safe. I tried more new restaurants in the area and it’s close to freeway’s. A quiet peaceful leisurely walk awaits you and it’s around this precious neighborhood where I shed Five lbs. over my visit. Thank you once again to this sweet family that host a magical experience in Escondido California. I miss the chickens. See you soon.

Quiet and Privacy in a Rustic Setting

Communication with the owner, Phil, was very clear, concise and professional. The check in was automatic and easy. The place was charming, well appointed and comfortable. I found nothing was left wanting. Every need was filled. The area was amenable to long relaxing walks with the dogs or curling up with a good book. You cant beat the location… easy on and off Fwy access. Just perfect for my needs and I highly recommend booking a stay for anyone looking for warmth, comfort, quiet and to be surrounded by nature while close to city attractions.

I recently retired from the military YAY!..so I am always available ready to cater to you and your vacation. We love to serve and share our experiences and this home is one of the best we've had. If you book with us, our motto is "If we have it, you can use it" at no additional cost, just let us know what you need. We are hoping to be of service to you soon!

Why they chose this property

The guest suite is spacious, private and quiet. The suite is separated from the main house by an unused office/laundry room. We will not hear you nor you hear us. The main bedroom sleeps 4 with a King size bed, a twin size bed with a twin size trundle bed. The living room can sleep 1 on a fold out ottoman or on each couches. We have everything you and a family will need including highchair, games, toys, and books.

Roam our 1 acre property like you own it. Plenty of things to do on our property including 2 tree swings, a slide, a gas BBQ, your own shady patio with a comfortable sectional, a huge Solo smokeless fire pit with firewood provided, and a beautiful 1 mile walking loop.

What makes this property unique

We have a very unique neighborhood. Most of the homes are in 1 acre of land or more and are Adobe homes built by the famous Wier brothers in the 50's. We are in a very secluded 1 mile loop which is a very interesting walk. Although you are in a rural setting, the main freeway is only 3 minutes away.
