About this property

Perched atop a secluded bluff, our cozy 900-square-foot lakefront cottage, 4-season home overlooks a beautiful stretch of Lake Erie shoreline. Take the stairs to a private sandy beach where you can relax, stroll, swim, fish, or marvel at the sunsets (winter: the lower stairs are retracted from November - April). Our home is pet-friendly, with a smart TV, Wi-Fi, a fully equipped kitchen, three comfortable bedrooms, each with a queen bed, one bath, kayaks, paddleboards, and most everything else you could want for the perfect vacation.

Over all the views were georgous, however the inside was not as nice as we had hoped.

The views are amazing, and the hot tub was a nice relaxing part of our stay. Unfortunately the stairs were not out yet to get down to the beach, owner outs them in after April, and with the coastline damage those are the only steps when we asked the neighbors. The inside was ok, we kept our shoes on, the floors in the living room around the doors were very wet when we arrived, and not super clean. The heaters were very easy to use. The linens were clean, and towels provided were very nice. The shower was tricky to regulate the water temperature some, you have to be patient and wait. The toilet is not set on level ground because everytime you sit it rocks forward, then backward when you get up. The last day there, water was coming out from under the front of it. The area is known to have spiders, and yes every night we had to swatt 6-10 off the ceiling/mid air danglers. Overall we treated it like a camping vacation as we are not high maintenanced people, everything was doable. Do keep in mind there is no stove, we took our griddle and crock pot to make food.

Humble Beach Cottage with Gorgeous View

While the house itself is "just a very nice place," the view of Lake Erie over the cliffs is phenomenal. Our pups were welcomed and the place is well set up for having the dogs there with few carpeted floors.

Work and okay

My daughter traveled with me while I worked a 24 hour shift at the local hospital. She loved the view. She was able to bring her dog to keep her company. If the weather had been better it would have been nice to walk the dog on the beach. Beautiful view of the waves on the lake while sitting on the couch.

Lake Erie Vacay

Do you want to go for a relaxing vacation with Lake Erie at your doorstep and a hot tub right outside the sliding door? This is the place for you. Our grandkids enjoyed the paddleboats on Lake Erie. The house was comfortable with ample beds for the 6 of us. We had a couple hiccups but Rickard was immediately on it to remedy the situation. He definitely went above and beyond. The area was so peaceful even though it is in a small community. Would definitely come back.
