Magnolia Den sits at the edge of wooded ravine minutes from the bustle of Gatlinburg, making it perfect for a Great Smoky Mountain getaway. One bedroom plus spacious sleeping loft provides a comfy space to unwind. The sizeable porch and picnic area, with firepit, extend the living beyond four walls. Easily accessible on Hwy 321 and convenient to all the area has to offer with GSM National Park trailheads less than 10 minutes from the cabin.
Magnolia Den is a modern cabin with the traditional feeling of a mountain home. Nestled amongst magnolia trees with a sizable yard, you will have plenty of fresh air for relaxing while enjoying the entire cabin to yourself.
Start your mornings with a cup of tea or coffee (a Keurig coffee maker and K-cups are provided) on the back porch overlooking the ravine while planning your day in the serenity of the Great Smoky Mountains. Inside the cabin, vaulted ceilings and an open floor plan make up the fully-equipped kitchen and pleasing living room area. Lounge on the couch and watch your streaming apps on a flat-screen Smart Fire TV or play games and cards for entertainment. If you can’t escape the workday, you'll find a desk and chair for quiet use in the main bedroom.
Magnolia Den provides a main floor bedroom with a king-size bed and a large loft with a queen bed and fold out futon. All are well-appointed with quality bedding. The one bathroom comes furnished with towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, body wash, and a hairdryer. We also keep a first aid kit, but hope you have no use for it.
The outdoor living space offers glider chairs and table as well as a bench on the back porch, while a fire pit, campfire grill grate, charcoal grill, and picnic table are available on the entrance side of the cabin.
Truly, if you're looking to explore the GSMNP without the crowds, Cosby is for you. The hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are nearby, but Cosby and our cabin provide a true mountain experience. You can even avoid the traffic congestion by coming off I-40 at the Newport or Wilton Springs exits and find a quiet, scenic 10-14 mile drive.
There's parking on the premises as well as an outlet for electric vehicle charging. In the parking area on the sign post is a Nema 14-50R outlet for EV charging by register guests only. Guests will need to bring their own charging cables, etc. No RV charging and/or RV stays.
With plenty of parking and a straight, flat driveway directly off Hwy 321, we can accommodate those hauling motorcycles to tour the GSMNP and we welcome them.
Pets are allowed with arrangements ahead of time, but no more than two dogs. No parties/events permitted, as we encourage to enjoy the serenity of the mountains.
Bears have been spotted on our property with some regularity, so we also ask that you keep garbage from collecting outside.
