This house was one of the best we have ever stayed in. It exceeded our expectations and the pictures do not show its true beauty and function. We spent 5 days here and actually wish we had added on a couple more days. The older kids could play a game and not be interrupted by the little ones playing in another area, I wish we had been able to enjoy the back yard more with the fire pit and grill but there is a lot to do in Erie so we just never got around to enjoying it but it was beautiful. The 5 bedrooms were spacious with large closets and ceiling fans. 4 televisions- one in game room which was an added plus with plenty of sitting space and a pool table, one in upstairs living room and two in two of the upstairs bedrooms. The dining room and kitchen were large. The kitchen had a few items that I would like for my home and was well stocked with appliances, pots and pans, cups, paper towels, dish towels etc. I also loved the large driveway since we had 3 vehicles. The enclosed porch area was great too as another area to sit and chat. I cannot think of anything this house lacked We went home with clean, dry beach towels and even most of our clothes cleaned thanks to the washer and dryer. My grandkids all loved it (ages 2,4,8, and 10) as did their parents. I would rate it a 10 of 10. My husband says "happy wife, happy life." We loved it!

Family vacation

This was the perfect rental for us to stay at with both sets of grandparents and our 3 kids. It was a great location and had a great yard for the kids. The kitchen was great and spacious. We would love to stay here again!

Great Big Family Gathering

Wonderfully spacious home for our whole family to be together and enjoy celebrating my daughter's graduation. Plenty of room to spread out but then all come together for meals and socializing. Nice back yard for my grandsons to play and run off energy with sitting area for us to enjoy them.

great spot for our friend reunion

The place was clean and spacious and had plenty of key items stocked even for a large group (toiletries, kitchen wares, detergent, etc.) — this was a great space for multiple adult couples. A big dining area for family-style meals, games, and the neighborhood is quiet, safe, and easy to get to all the key spots in town.

My wife and I own the local FASTSIGNS center in Downtown Erie. We have lived in almost every zip code in the Erie area as we enjoy restoring and remodeling homes which we have either sold or rented when we move to the next project. We currently live just a few blocks from this home on Sassafras. We prefer staying in homes when we travel with our family and are thrilled to offer this home for your visits to our lovely area.

Why they chose this property

My wife, Naomi, and I have enjoyed restoring this house to it's original glory. The home is located in a delightful neighborhood just minutes from the Erie Zoo; Downtown Erie and the beautiful Lake Erie Bayfront. A stately golden brick home built in 1953 it was in great need of some TLC. The sunroom is one of our favorite resting spots and we have enjoyed watching the chipmunks, squirrels, birds and occasional deer in the spacious backyard. Because we are just blocks from the Erie Zoo we can often hear some of the animals during the daytime feedings. The monkeys and peacock are especially enjoyable.

What makes this property unique

We believe this home offers the best for family and friends gathering for a few days.; comfort, convenience and spaces for individual and group activities.
