Area state parks are a “must-do” with fun recreation and beautiful scenery. Drive less than ten minutes to experience Deep Creek Lake State Park. It is has something for every member of your group. The sandy beach is a great swimming area, kayak and canoe rentals are available, there are several playgrounds, and the Discovery Center has an aviary and lots of nature exhibits. You will also want to stop by Swallow Falls State Park. It has easy to moderate hiking trails and three breathtaking waterfalls.
