The house accommodates a family of 6-7 very well. It is great for adults that need to be in the Elk Grove area. We appreciate that our family was able to be together to celebrate a graduation from medical school. However, the house is not well maintained. The fence around the pool is rusted through and loose bricks in the backyard. There is no covered patio as pictured and described. The air hockey in the game room does not work. I do not recommend this property for children although “game room” may be inviting.

This property is run down and the minimal maintenance that has been performed has been below standard.RENTER BEWARE! Mailbox broken off its post and lying in front yard next to dilapidated basketball hoop with no net; these were first thing guests see and create a poor first impression.AC was off on arrival despite temperatures being around 100 with windows open; upstairs did not cool properly making it difficult to sleep at night. Cockroach was found in the master bedroom Cat feces in the yard. Washer/dryer were provided but no detergent or dryer sheets. Located in garage with no lightNo lounge furniture to enjoy pool and no grill for cooking. Attached spa was inoperable. Dirty carpet with no pad beneath in some areas. Laminate flooring installation left large gaps. Dirty kitchen window, inside and out Chipped kitchen cabinetry and peeling paint. One-ply toilet paper and one-ply paper towels were provided No basic food-storage items such as bags, foil, tupperware. Only six hangers for five-bedroom home; no hang bar in one master closet. Upstairs master TV did not work despite replacing the remote, leaving only one functioning TV for the entire five-bedroom home. Uncomfortable couch and sparse furnishings. Missing vertical blind slats on back doorUnfinished wall repairsFront door had a noticeable gap around frame allowing in insects and heat inside. As well as posing safety concern.Deteriorating stonework and fencing, overgrown and sparse landscaping.

Elk Grove House

The house was clean and easily accommodated my family. The games and the pool were great for the kids. Only real issue was that the listing said it had a washer and dryer but we couldn’t find one and the garage was locked. Other than that it was great!

Pros about this property is that its a spacious home for your family to come visit. Has everything you would need, cons they put a noise VRBO in the game room so when the kids would play the noise control kept going off, also they were playing during the day. I understand they want the noise to be at a certain level but they should relocate it.

Great Property with Space for Big Families

Overall it was Great, the property is a little dated but fine. There are cameras for “Noise Management” pointed directly at the pool. VERY off putting! (We just tilted away from the pool area) I don’t mind listening “in case of Parties” They don’t disclose cameras until AFTER you book.

Underwhelming

Overall, nice house. 1.Beautiful, little backyard. Unfortunately you cant sit back there and enjoy it because there is not ONE piece of patio furniture or any bbq grill. 2.Pool looks good in the "pictures". The hot tub doesn't work, but i was informed that it wasnt listed as an amenitie. 3.The noise maker really wasn't a big deal. 4. The property owner needs to try and invest in some cups, plates, dinnerware Overall 3/5 not bad, but could be a really nice place with a few upgrades IMO

This would be a great location for a family with small kids, or for younger couples looking for a getaway.Unfortunately, we were a group of older ladies, some with mobility issues, and the varying floor heights and multiple steps on the ground floor (not shown in the pictures) was somewhere between unpleasant and unmanageable.(It's on us for assuming that a house with one ground-floor bedroom would be accessible for at least one person. Not the owners' fault; they didn't advertise it as accessible.)I'm sure the pool and amenities were lovely but we didn't use them. The pool looked clean; it had a robot cleaner and the water was sparkling. We never found the laundry room, so I'm not able to review that.The inside floors and surfaces were not as clean as they should have been, but the owners were quick to respond to those issues, and the issue with the outside trash bins was taken care of almost immediately.The game room looked really cool, the kitchen was quite well organized and there were dishes and coffee setup, which was all we really needed.I'd definitely give this place three and a half stars, and if I ever get my knees replaced I'd absolutely consider returning!

Noise detection

Home itself is beautiful. Lots of space to enjoy time with family and friends. The only thing we didnt like about this stay was the noise meter that is located inside the game room near the kitchen. Keep in mind that we are a total of 8 guests inside the home in the game room or kitchen. The noise meter sounds like a smoke detector when activated. As soon as we all started enjoying our selfs in the home, it was quickly ruined by this noise detector. Its pretty much a nanny telling you to be quite or go to sleep. This home is perfect for families who barely stay at the home, go to sleep @8pm or the elderly. The outside patio did not have any type of furniture so pack a couple chairs to hang out by the pool. Overall, beautiful home that i wish didnt have the noise detector. Other than that, we enjoyed the space it had. Will book again if noise detector is removed.

The place was minimally equipped for 8 people. Not enough toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex (none) kitchen towels and bowls. The knives in the wooden block on the counter were all dirty. The air vents were quit dirty and overall things seemed dusty. The pool was really nice looking but it rained most of our stay. Location was great
